Jackson defense looked pretty solid tonight against NY. No scores allowed by the Ironmen in the 10 play series or down and distance series. Jackson offense pretty vanilla tonight not going to show too much I suspect. Some nice runs by Rafferty and Crabtree and some nice throws by Sexton to Leach and Cooper.

Still confident defensively and look to start showing more playbook on the offensive side of things.

Solid showing by the Ironmen, good luck to NY as well.

Michael D. and Ty Phelps from Meigs could play for anyone in Southern Ohio. They need some work in other areas but these 2 :-D .. Coaches son is coming along also. Tougher than nails and as he matures he is going to pack a punch. I am telling you. Threw a wet ball pretty well. Well Coached.

Huntington- 6
Vinton County- 0

Game called after nearly two quarters due to lightning. One heck of a defensive showing on both ends.

The Spartans went to Circleville tonight and played pretty decent against a pretty good looking team in the Tigers...
The Varsity teams played the first two qts with circleville coming out on top by a 20-13 lead at the half.
Very proud of my Spartans they have made a lot of improvement on defense and attitudes. Now let's get to the season !!

Think they are still a little bumped up. #20 didn't even dress. He is kind of a go to guy on both sides of the ball. Defense looked prett good. Offense moved the ball some but doesn't look like a unit yet. Think it is an experience issue. Lost a lot last year. Huntington. Scored on a punt return. And had a decent return on kick off. VC has to get that squared away. Wish we could have seen more last night. Hope they get all the bugs worked out by next week cause that's when it counts.
