I'm thinking 28-20 MSML. Closer than the "experts" think, I actually believe there's more parity between these two opponents than some of the other state title match-ups.

How about we dont make any predictions and just talk about how and what the Cats need to do to beat the Flyers. Win or loose they still made it. Only team in athens county sense NY in 1981

These teams cannot be more opposite of each other, which makes it interesting to see how this game will play out.

Marion Local is the premiere small school football team in the state of Ohio, playing in the premiere small school conference in the state of Ohio. Multiple state championships. A look at who they have defeated this year is a Who's Who of top football teams in the state. Football-power Coldwater will play in the Division 5 State Championship Game. Marion Local defeated Coldwater 47-14 earlier this year. The Midwest Athletic Conference is a beast that has multiple schools with multiple state championships. Marion, Coldwater, St. Johns, Versailles, the list goes on and on.

If Trimble were to somehow win this game, there would be a movie made about it. The poorest school district in Ohio wins a state championship against the premiere small school in the state. That's a movie in the making. I'd call it: Rutter Rutter Peanut Butter: How the Mohawk Mafia became State Champions. :122245 Previews would air nonstop on Channel 15. lol

11/30 N # West Jefferson (12-2) [5:18] W 35-10
12/7 N # Bishop Hartley (13-1) [5:17]

Will we see a blowout or will we see a movie in the making?

I feel sorry for Marion Local, I do....
By the time they realize the Maowhawk Mafia came to play they will already be down by 2 scores and beat up from getting hit so hard.

Only one recipe in my opinion for how you "upset" or beat a "better team" and that is flawless execution on every play by every boy. Grinding out every block, grinding out every inch of yards running, grinding out every tackle, hit, and defensive stop, and knowing that your teammate next to you is doing the same thing on EVERY play. Knowing your job and doing it every single time on every single play.

If you do that and look up when the 4th quarter starts and see that you are in the ball game, then Trimble Tomcats, the pressure is squarely on Marion Local, as they were never supposed to be in the position of losing a game "they were always supposed to win". When you are the "king of the hill" like Marion Local is and you are in a slugfest and all of a sudden wondering if you are as good as everyone told you things and momentum start to change a little.

Get to quarter 4, put them in a fight and my money is on the boys from Trimble...but you gotta be in the position to do that. From Jackson County I wish you the best of luck and hope you look up in Quarter 4 and have them in a dogfight....good luck Tomcats.

from an outstide perspective:
In order of full disclosur I root for Trimble 9-10 (make that 14-15)weeks of the season.
When I started reading this topic the first thing i see is predictions. WHO CARES. All of us on the Trimble "bus" needs to enjoy this ride. No team from TVC has been this far since before any of these players were born and now in the last two years we have had 2 (Wahama last year) teams in the state finals. Do I want Trimble to win, sure, we all do or should anyway. Will they, who knows. On paper no they will not win, on paper I can erase mistakes too. The game is played on the field between kids 15-18. I could get into Trimble's Defense or Marion Local speed but that is not important right now this week in this forum. Good Luck Tomcats, you have already represented this area well, and no matter what happens from this day foward in that State Championship program your name will be listed in the Championship Game. And you can't erase that.
This may seem incoherent but as i was writing this my mind started jumping all over the place.
