Gallipolis will have to make a big turn around to be in this game. Jackson Defense is better than Gallipolis Offense And Gallipollis' defense is nowhere close to Jackson's offense. I see the Ironmen beating up on the Blue devils.

Trying to fire up Gallia Academy just in case Logan gets upset? Lol

If Jackson doesn't hold on to the ball better it could get ugly....but I have faith they will.

Jackson 27
Gallia Academy 21

Warren has no chance against Logan. In this one said several weeks ago that Gallia is over rated and expect Jackson to win this game. No D at all. Can't win without a D. That's why Logan wins the SEOAL this year -- D

Jackson 28 -- Gallia 14

Might have more to say later in the week, but I'll say this: I'm sure Gallipolis is looking forward to playing on the turf. Memorial Field has been in much worse shape, but their offense will be happy to have sure footing for sure.

Never say never oh great Oz....say most likely or probably all knowing all wise one but there is always a chance. I seriously doubt Coach Burke is preparing for senior night thinking all Logan has to do is show up.

Hey Paladin don't forget to copy and paste your quote and date for your prediction in August where you claim you picked Logan to win the SEOAL....it's not that I don't believe you but I just want to see that preseason early prediction you claim to have made.

This is THE game on Jackson's schedule. Games with Wellston, Logan, and others are obviously very important, but this is the one the Ironmen always want the most. Looks like a share of the SEOAL championship isn't likely, but beating Gallia Academy and finishing at 6-4 would still be pretty satisfying after everything this team has been through.

Absolutely hated to see the injury to Griffiths against Greenfield. He was working so hard this past off-season, then suffered the first shoulder injury, but was able to be ready by Week 1. To have this happen again has to be devastating. Hope to see him back at full strength for his senior year.

Jackson and Gallia Academy are both battling injuries, and will most likely be missing some key players, but that just means other guys will have to step up. You can basically throw all the records and stats out the window in this game, but I can say one thing with certainty right now. If Jackson turns the ball over like they have the last few weeks, they won't win this game. They need to take care of the football, and if they can do that, I think they are certainly capable of winning, even with several guys out or playing at less than 100%.

Let's have a good week of preparation, end this thing the right way, and send the seniors out with a win.

BEAT GALLIA!!!

If Jackson doesn't turn the ball over (my guess is they have fumbled more this year than the last 2 combined), plays good special teams (specifically kick-off coverage) and defends the pass then we win.

With Griffiths and Rafferty out of the secondary though we could be more vulnerable than usual to a passing team. Conley, Fitch and Jones need to have a great game in the secondary.

Wouldn't mind Potter getting a number change this week and getting a few carries...just to see if that might be an option next year. With Griffiths out, let's just see. My guess is it works pretty well. Wouldn't that be something to see Potter and Farley as two freshman in the backfield.

Stop trying to fire up Gallia Academy. They'll be more than game for this matchup and you know it.

I would agree that getting Potter some carries would be a good thing. I think that's something that might have to happen in this game. Crabtree and Farley, along with Potter, and also Parana could get the job done in the backfield. Whoever ends up carrying the ball just needs to hang on to it. No fumbles!

Defensively, Jackson has to stop Wade Jarrell from beating them with his legs. His running ability, whether on designed runs, keeping plays alive, or just scrambling is what won the game for Gallia Academy last year. The Ironmen have to keep him contained and force someone else to beat them. Obviously that's easier said than done, but it's what has to happen for Jackson to get the W.

I02 maybe I am wrong, but our run defense this year has been fairly stout especially within the SEOAL, we are extremely athletic and fast to the ball, sometimes too quick in over pursuit.

Against Warren allowed 50 some yards rushing as I recall, they scored on a fluke field goal miss which was set up by an even flukier blocked field goal at the end of the half.

Against Logan we allowed 150 yards rushing the week after they played Portsmouth and had two backs run for 300 and had a total of 400 if I remember correctly. They scored on two TD passes neither of which was very good but the defense of them was obviously not either therefor the TD's. A game everyone feels we let slip away.

Against Portsmouth, one long run but other than that pretty much contained a very speedy and athletic team.

With Rafferty and Griffiths out of the secondary we will be vulnerable to the pass more so than usual, and our defense at the edges on the read/option or jet sweep going to have to play well. Jarrell's feet make me nervous, but the passing makes me more nervous lol.
