This should be a great game. VC can win this game if they keep the mistakes down, but NY is due big. NY better than 10

This will be the 46th all-time game between the Buckeyes and Vikings. NY leads all-time series 37 wins, 8 losses. Vinton County is the only school that has been on NY's schedule every year since consolidation in 1967, although the 1973 game was cancelled due to the Vinton County Teachers Strike. Vinton County last defeated NY back in 1999.

NY has dominated the series and the years Vinton County has won have traditionally been squeakers........
1969 Vinton County (H) 14-12 (2 points)
1983 Vinton County (H) 13-12 (1 point)
1986 Vinton County (A) 14-8 (6 points)
1990 Vinton County (A) 25-24 (1 point)
1991 Vinton County (H) 7-6 (1 point)
1995 Vinton County (H) 13-12 (1 point)
1996 Vinton County (A) 42-6 (36 point blowout of '96)
1999 Vinton County (H) 25-22 (3 points)

With 4 one-point wins, 1 two-point win, 1 three-point win, and 1 six point win, Vinton County has only defeated NY by more than 1 touchdown one time (or VC has only defeated NY by more than 1 field goal twice).

NY leads all-time series 37 wins, 8 losses
1967 Nelsonville-York (H) 50-8
1968 Nelsonville-York (A) 40-6
1969 Vinton County (H) 14-12
1970 Nelsonville-York (A) 12-8
1971 Nelsonville-York (H) 53-0
1972 Nelsonville-York (A) 26-0
1973 No Game VC STRIKE
1974 Nelsonville-York (A) 12-0
1975 Nelsonville-York (H) 41-12
1976 Nelsonville-York (A) 29-0
1977 Nelsonville-York (H) 45-0
1978 Nelsonville-York (A) 21-7
1979 Nelsonville-York (H) 42-13
1980 Nelsonville-York (A) 34-0
1981 Nelsonville-York (H) 52-0
1982 Nelsonville-York (A) 51-0
1983 Vinton County (H) 13-12
1984 Nelsonville-York (A) 28-6
1985 Nelsonville-York (H) 35-0
1986 Vinton County (A) 14-8
1987 Nelsonville-York (H) 26-13
1988 Nelsonville-York (A) 16-9
1989 Nelsonville-York (H) 30-0
1990 Vinton County (A) 25-24
1991 Vinton County (H) 7-6
1992 Nelsonville-York (A) 41-7
1993 Nelsonville-York (H) 14-13
1994 Nelsonville-York (A) 26-21
1995 Vinton County (H) 13-12
1996 Vinton County (A) 42-6
1997 Nelsonville-York (H) 20-12
1998 Nelsonville-York (A) 34-18
1999 Vinton County (H) 25-22
2000 Nelsonville-York (A) 15-14
2001 Nelsonville-York (H) 47-6
2002 Nelsonville-York (A) 35-0
2003 Nelsonville-York (H) 35-15
2004 Nelsonville-York (A) 20-14
2005 Nelsonville-York (H) 21-6
2006 Nelsonville-York (A) 32-13
2007 Nelsonville-York (H) 21-14
2008 Nelsonville-York (A) 48-16
2009 Nelsonville-York (H) 32-6
2010 Nelsonville-York (A) 42-6
2011 Nelsonville-York (H) 41-0
2012 Nelsonville-York (A) 46-6

With a likely loss coming against Athens in Week 10, NY *MUST* win this game to avoid having its worst season since 1970.

With a likely loss coming against Athens in Week 10, NY will face only its third losing season in TVC Conference Play in school history (1970 and 1999 are the other two losing seasons in TVC Conference Play).

I think last Fridays game got rid of most of the doubters. Davey has kept the young boat afloat, and will turn the corner these next few weeks. With more reps to yet another freshman in line up last week he is gearing up for the next few years. So look out all you nay sayers for the Buckeyes the next few weeks, and definitely the next few years.

Vikings bounce back after two strait losses. The boys are hungry and ready to get back to winning.

So you take VC to overtime, and lose to NY by two scores and you are taking VC? What, did the refs cheat VC more than they did NY or what?

Yea those refs sure did cheat the buckeyes lmao ,no I'm taking VC because there offense was able to score points this year averaging 24-28 pts per game , Buckeyes average 16-19 pts per game. Both buckeyes and VC are nice young teams.... But I still give the Vikes the edge. Nelsonville only muster 28 pts on a bad punt which gave them great field position, and a busted play against a Young Spartan defense that had 3 starters out with injury.
Lol Goodluck with VC buck because next week you guys will get to face a beast in Athens

Yea thanks, and maybe against that "beast" we will throw the ball 75 or 80% of the time to keep it close.

Ground butt nelsonville wil have to throw the ball better and more often if they want
to stay in the same zip code as the Bulldogs. And for the record I agree with you on the poor
Game plan Alexander brought to Athens.

Well if you see the Greyhounds coach let him in on that why don't you? Hey at least we agree on one thing. ;-)
