In season weight lifting

Is it normal for teams to stop lifting during the regular season nowadays.

we use bigger faster stronger and lift 2x a week. usually man and wed for 30 minutes. mon- squats, snatch and neck: wed bench, cleans, and neck. we do gain some strength during the season.

Most teams will do a scaled back version to maintain strength.

When I was in school, we would lift on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
