I think if they bring all of those back who could come back they are going to be a solid ball team, again.

I think they will be 9-1 or 10-0 and make a good playoff run.

They get the Bucks at home on a Saturday night to open the season ... but its the trip to Wahama 6 days later that has me worried ... 10-0 is very possible, 9-1 wouldn't shock me - and even 8-2 isn't out of the realm of possibility ... my money is on 10-0 though, but I've always been a 'glass-half-full' kind of guy.

Ugh, why do they always push Saturday night games down our throats? HS football is for Friday nights.

10-0? How bout 13 -0. Then the tough games will start. That's why Dr. Phil will save the trick plays for games 14 and 15, just in case we need them.

Just my thoughts guys!

If we are in DVII (like we should be), who knows how far we can go? If we get stuck in DVI, it could be an early exit.

With all that has gone on I think Trimble could be the Red 23 favorites.

With the new division it means they are adding 4 more regions, so expect a shake up in the regions.

Buckeye fans should start a new tradition of shouting "Not our rivals!" during this game like Duke does to Maryland!

I really dislike all-time team threads, there have been many, and I am guilty of posting on a few, but there exists too many factors in choosing a player by position. For example let's say we are narrowing our scope to "All-Time Best Quarterback"

Stu Patton - QB during the transition between Coaches Bokovitz and Culver. Great athlete, ran the option very well. Only person to every win 16 letters at Trimble. Quarterback of the 1974 8-1-1 team

Kevin Meade - QB under Coach Culver, was quarterback as Trimble transformed from a wishbone to an I offense. Run threat as well as a great passing quarterback. Had some very good receivers in Greg Holbert, Mike Echstenkamper, Mark Hunter, and out of the backfield Jeff McClelland. Played at Akron (was recruited by then assistant Jim Tressel) Became a very successful coach for Nelsonville-York during the 1990's.

Mike Roback - QB during the transition between Coaches Culver and Bolin. Run/Pass threat that lead the Tomcats to the 1980 undefeated season. Had great receivers as well like Scott Holbert, Todd Trace, Mark Echstenkamper, and L.R. Faires. Played at Ohio University.

Roger Bingman - QB under Coach Holbert, lead Trimble to the 1989 undefeated season. Still holds many of the school's passing records. Played at Hastings College (Nebraska)

A.J. Jenkins - QB under Coach Faires, holds the single game passing mark. Run/Pass threat, great athlete.

The 5 guys listed are just some at the top of the list for QBs at Trimble (Rusty Richards, Mark Echstenkamper, Brady Trace). All played in different eras of Tomcat football, in some cases for different coaches in different offensive philosophies. To pick one and say he's the best is, in my opinion, ridiculous.

As for the 2013 version of the Tomcats. I believe that like the last few seasons, the first four weeks of the year will say a lot about their season. Their schedule is top heavy with Nelsonville-York and Wahama early in the season. If they can pull off wins in those two games it could be a very special season.

Good Luck Cats, you know I'll be checking the scores
