WK 3: Caldwell (2-0) @ Shadyside (0-2)

Post by surfsider »

Tigers 0-2 for first time since '09 and it won't get any easier against Caldwell.
Redskins look like a force to be reckoned with in PVC and in D7.
Wouldn't surprise me to see Caldwell win by 15+.

however, this is Shadyside's first home game and Tigers coming off game vs. Monroe Central where they out-gained Seminoles in total yds.

Caldwell blows past shadyside on their way to a regional title this year. With the tough schedule shadyside has i will be surprised if they even make playoffs even though they will be better than 3-4 teams that do make it in.

caldwell wins this one by 30+ points.
on the regional championship title I wouldn't look past Danville who just beat a good Fredricktown team. Oh and The Tomcats will be ready come post season. Should be fun to watch in region 25.

Caldwell will win this. Shadyside could be staring 0-6 in the face with their brutal schedule.

As for region 25 if anyone other than Caldwell, Trimble, Danville or maybe Harvest prep wins it I'd be shocked.

HP did get a transfer QB from Pickerington North that can play starting week 6.

Danville has everyone back from last year that includes 17 seniors. I believe they start 11 seniors on O and 9 or 10 on D.
Have a 6-3 245lb QB that runs their spread O.

Trimble will probably finish 9-1, maybe Alexander can give them a run but nobody in the hocking in touching them.

Holenka at Shadyside is a good coach, but I've seen both teams play (in person) and I say Caldwell by 3 TD's.

Shadyside is always well coached and usually a solid team. Playoffs are a long way away. Need to take it one week at a time.

Huge loss for Caldwell. Lori was a definite all-District talent.

One of the best backs in the region this could be a huge blow.

I imagine Ivey will now take the lead back role, with Ridenour and some others getting carries as well. I doubt any one player will be able to replace Lori's production, more of a running back by committee, but no one player makes a team. The loss will definitely hurt, but it just means someone will have to step up now, next man up. Goodluck to the Redskins tonight.

Earlier in the week, I would have predicted a blowout. But now, I'll say 35-22 Caldwell.

I agree, losing Lori hurts but we can overcome that loss. My fear, as with many of our fans, is that our OC will now rely on Clark over and over until he is beaten and battered.
