Logan 7 - 14 HT

Post by loganlocos »

Season finale for these two teams.

It's definitely been a season of transition for Logan. Under Eddy, the Chiefs have won more games already than they had in the previous three seasons.

With a win over the Rangers, Logan can move to 5-5 and earn just hte 4th non-losing season this decade.

The game will bring a close to the current decade, which will go down as the worst in school history. The Chieftains have had only two winning seasons since Dale Amyx retired after the 2009 season.

HT will also be looking to finish .500. The Rangers have only one losing season this decade (4-6).

It will be HT's first trip to Logan Chieftain Stadium and just the third ever meeting between the two schools. Logan leads the series 2-0.

Hopefully Logan's seniors can go out on a high with a victory. It would help lay the foundation of what will hopefully be a much improved program in the decade to come.

I took Logan in all my projections but it’s right and being at home with momentum was my tie break

I like Logan in this one to finish the season on a 3 game win streak which I predicted a month ago. Should not be close. HT lost to a weak Franklin Hts (3-6) early had was destroyed by Teays Valley 42-0, which Logan came close to beating, before losing 10-7.

Logan has also rebounded from a schedule front loaded with tough teams to roll winning 4 of their last 5 games and soon to be 5 wins in last 6 games. This sets up a return to better days next year with the projected schedule.

Hamilton has been a team of up and down. They can put points on the board if they can go low turnover and low mistakes.

Good luck Chieftains, really hope you get the win.

Off Topic: Discussing this with a friend today, Is the Chieftain Center finished yet, or still under construction ?

They are still pouring the floor at the Chieftain Center as of last week. TV2 has been occupying their space all season to run the video board.

The weight room has been equipped thanks to Rogue fitness. And the turf area is complete.

From the outside it looks complete and the inside looks ready to roll to me except for the floor. Pretty exciting stuff.

Rogue fitness donated the weights/weight systems or did the school purchase them? Isn’t the guy who founded Rogue Fitness from Logan?

They were donated. And customized. The equipment is amazing. Everything is "Logan Chieftains" branded from the weights/benches/racks.

Wow! Really cool looking equipment. Nice! I'm sure the young men and Duck Dynasty Mike are fired up and exited. I'm sure they had other nice equipment that will be transferred over there in the new field house and still will be used as well. Thanks for sharing these good pics, Locos. Really plush cool looking stuff. It's great and I'm proud the young men have nice things to work with.

tentative opening for the chieftain center is 11/21/19, but I wouldn't count on it
