I think they are saying the team that emerges from highest pre seeded bracket is awarded the home field. The 3-6 bracket winner was predetermined to be the away team versus the 2-7 bracket, even if team 7 won. Does not make sense but in playoff football I do not think it is a big deal on a neutral field.

Because you take the seed of the team you beat. If an 8 seed beats a 1 seed then they are now the 1 seed. It's been this way since 1999 as far as i know.

I thought someone posted that did not apply until the semi-finals. I'm honestly just curious. Perhaps I'll go to the OHSAA site and see if I can find the rule. Seems to be a lot of different opinions and thoughts on this. Someone also posted which ever team had the most pre-sale tickets the game before would get the home stands. I'd just like to know the actual rule. Lol

Presale tickets and other factors such as the size of the different schools bands, expected attendance etc can be used for seating arrangements that differ from the predetermined home and away stands, but Bloom Carroll is the home team and will be credited as such, wear dark jerseys, dress in home lockers, show up as home on the scoreboard. When Jackson played Desales at Chilli they traveled with a band and had a much higher expected attendance, they were seated on the home side as the away team, it happens.

I look for it to be a shoot out for sure. Looking at some of the highlights Waverly will have to be disciplined defensively with the zone reads they do and the QB for BC can run. Opposite of that looks like BC struggles with shifty RBS and will give up the play. Looking at some of the highlights at least I think these 2 teams matchup really well in terms of size and they both are similar offenses but Waverly isn't going to run with the QB though, they use the zone read to throw the bubble passes.

I watched them play Hamilton Township. They looked fast and athletic but i think Waverly can win this one.

I know the defense will have to make good stops against a very good qb, possibly the best they’ve seen all year. I think this will be a track meet lots of points, whoever makes the better 2nd half adjustment and makes a pivotal stop/takeaway or special teams play will win #geauxtigers

Bloom Carroll in round 1--479 total yards, including 331 yards on the ground. Senior QB went 20-26 passing 205 yards and another 83 yards on the ground on 13 carries. Only common opponent for these 2 is Amanda Clearcreek who these 2 teams actually played in back to back weeks waverly playing them in week 5 and BC in week 6. BC--QB is a 3 year starter 5,087 yards passing and 1,969 rushing – and 79 touchdowns over 3 years.

Good luck to the Bulldogs!

I was kinda hoping we at Hamilton Township would've hosted this one. Bloom Carroll hosted a playoff game we were in a few years back. Sorry I won't be there this weekend, but I hope it's a great game.

Game prep question for both teams. Is the allotted practice time spent more on film study and walk throughs rather than hitting and thudding? I would guess at week 12 your physicality and technique is what it is and prep is spent on learning what your opponent does.

Waverly will pack the visitors side and may need some of the home side. Tiger nation will do what Tiger nation does and that is travel well.
