Unioto Football Coach? Anyone know anything?

Jeff Metzler was an exceptional head coach. Whoever replaces Metzler will have big shoes to fill. Metz is one of the good guys!

If I am Unioto I go all in and try to bring a coach who is proven as a head coach, offer him a pay raise with an administrative position role or an upgraded teachers salary and pay him a little more as the head coach. Metz leaves behind a strong culture and a rebuilt Unioto football program that’s ready to win and a new coach can take over a program who has been in the playoffs 3 of the last 4 years

You realize that salaries are negotiated agreements with the Union, whoever the coach is will be paid equal to all others on the negotiated agreement.

I was a little taken back when I wasn’t even considered for the Piketon basketball job last year so this may be my last chance at a decent job

Yes I am aware. Just believe that the guy they want or could land from outside would be someone they could give a better school job as well.

Metzler did a great job with the program, will be hard to replace.
Three playoff appearances with a program that was going no where before he arrived on the scene.
Go ahead and reserve him a spot on Unioto’s coaching Mount Rushmore.

Moving forward it’s no secret Unioto is one of the lower paying schools when it comes to coaches, that’s why you see a lot of alumni or people with vested interest in the district heading programs.

I look for a member of the U fraternity to take the job or a young assistant coach looking to lead a program.

I just don’t see The U coming off with the money to bring in a big named established coach.
