Does Fort Frye have any leads on a Magnolia replacement for this year?

If Fort doesn’t find a replacement Magnolia is going to have to come to Beverly.

We realize that, but has FF had any talks with other schools to be able to replace Magnolia? Time is running out and Madonna WV who want to play Magnolia and vice versa, will need to able to pick up someone before it's too late.

Of course ff is trying to find a replacement. Hard to do. Toronto won't play us, others have declined as well. Next year Shenandoah and NY both are dropping FF. Neither enjoy the ass kicking i guess

Ridgewood has contacted twice. Wood also looking to get out of week 2 this year with River View. Sounds like a nice 3 year deal for both programs.

Is Fort Fryes coach from there? Curious to why he hasn’t moved on to a bigger program if not? I know he is young. With his resume he could be coaching at a major powerhouse with great facilities etc

Yes he is. The Hucks have always been active supporters of Fort Frye Schools.

Yea he’s a Fort graduate. He built this program from scratch. They were so bad before him. The new weight room and field house has got kids wanting to play for Fort Frye. Kids that play other sports even come in before school to lift.

I would say they search for an OVAC school first, since that is the only league they are in now. To win an OVAC championship most teams need to play at least 6-8 OVAC opponents. In 2020 I believe they only play 5 OVAC opponents.Back-to-back OVAC championships would make you want to strive to collect a few more.

We are fulfilling the contract so we didn't "drop" Fr Frye.
We are not renewing.

I think Shadyside is in our division and an OVAC team, so I think that's desirable. Also, we have played St. Clairsville in basketball and in Jr. High sports, so it isn't outside the realm of possibility.
