Athens has Moore. Will probably have a 3,000 yard season if we play all the games. I don't see any school playing any games in August

OHSAA is full go. The only thing that going to stop them will be the NFHS, the Governor's Office, or a Health Director Order.

Going give my thoughts as the game were going to be played as scheduled
Waverly has one its best teams I think ever, Shanks at 100% is going to be huge with Futhey Wolf and Brown as some playmakers however losing Shoemaker is huge. Defense will have to have improved from last season to this season. However Athens returns their quarterback who I think is very solid in his own they were very competitive last season. This game being the first in the newly named Joe Burrow stadium would be a great one

I’m hearing this game will likely not happen. Waverly may be playing just an SOC league schedule with the possibility of a couple non league games with two weeks between those.

Haven’t heard that yet, is this something being discussed by the schools or higher ups?

Only 6 games this season with 5 league games to play. With the COVID issues in Athens I’m told this one won’t happen.
The last I heard the plan was to play the first game August 28 but the opponent was unknown - trying to schedule that one. NO idea what the SVC will do with 8 teams (7 games per year) and only permitted to play 6. I doubt we play Unioto or Zane Trace. That leaves Amanda & Washington CH as the other two non league games were going to play.
Also, the assumption is the SOC league games will stay in their current order but just move them up to starting week 2.
Of course all this stuff changes nearly daily...
