2020 Wellston 6 - 28 Fort Frye

Post by EasternDspy »

Is a rivalry brewing.

How do they match up?

Do they still run wing-T

This should be one heckuva game. They should match up well! They did not run a wing-T last year. A lot of shotgun. Should be a physical football game. Hopefully they will
Get to play this. And to answer your question about a rival brewing. Fort Frye gets in the TVC-OH the rivalry is in for sure !

Yes he is. His WR Hunter Smith is a game changer. 6-3,6-4 maybe?? I thought he was the most underutilized player last year for them. RJ throws it up in his general direction. My moneys on Smith to come down with the pigskin. He’s a fine player too !

Fort Frye probably has 3 all state lineman this year. I think this will be the teams best offensive line. Cadets do have 2 new starters at corner. I say the XFactor is Soph RB Owen Brown he will take the torch from Tyler Fisher and Casey Lewis. He will be a superstar.

Sounds as though there should be loads of talent on the field on that football Friday night.

That impressive 3 all state lineman!!

As we have talked in the past. They sure have built something special there in Washington county.

RJ Kemp will play WR and some TB. Jeremiah Frisby will play QB.

Nice info !!! RJ definitely an athlete that can play just about anywhere. Good for the Frisby kid to step up and take the reigns and direct the team. The Smith kid has to get the ball some way somehow. And more than just 1/2x a game.

Even though he had a great season last year. IMO they should have moved RJ to WR last season.

Wellston finally got a real coach. They’ve blown more talent than a porn star messing around with poor coaches. Going 4-6 when should be 7-3 or 8-2 year in and year out. Well done Wellston , now keep him.

Fort Frye is (48-1) the last 5 years in the reg season with 7 playoffs wins and final 4 appearance. Also they scored 69 points on Nelsonville last year. This might be one of its better teams.
Fort has not lost by over 20 since regional final vs Newark Catholic in 2016.

Ok
Heck this Sr class has never even lost a game in the reg season and have never lost a game by 20 points. Kirtland won the state title and didn’t beat them by 20 in the final 4.
