I believe this will be a really good game and be important in the TVC race. Vinton County wins.

Vinton County picks up where they left off from 2019.

I have no idea what VC or Meigs will have this year. I think VC wins though.

Any VC folks know anything about this year's team? Is there going to be a second year surge under coach Bethel or are they still fighting the uphill climb? This season will be odd for sure but wanted the thoughts for this year's team? These questions can apply to Meigs as well.

Make NO MISTAKE about it....Travis Bethel and staff will get better. The kids buying in and putting the work will come more n more year in and year out. I’ve said a few times wouldn’t be suprised if a week 10(under normal years ) wouldn’t decide TVC-OH between VC and Wellston in the near future. Those two programs are on the rise.

Totally agree with this assessment. Hopefully that holds true sooner rather than later.

Makes the rivalry all the better when something other than bragging rights are at stake lol.

They lost a lot of contributors from last year, including both RBs. But they are bringing back a lot of key guys. I heard the OL is actually looking pretty strong again this year despite losing 3 starters from last year.
I expect a more spread out game. I just don't see the power run game working as well this year as it did last year. I know we had some young WRs that showed some flashes last season and Damron is coming into his third year as starting QB.

They lost some heartbreakers last year. Easily could've had 2 or 3 more wins. Hopefully they can finish games a little stronger this year, but I think we will see that with coach Bethel not being a "rookie" head coach anymore

Don't count out Meigs. David Tennant has put a lot of work into the program and has the kids believing. He's a proven winner and could have Meigs as a front runner in short order.

Not sure how much "work" he's put in, but Tennant obviously borrowed a lot of what he does from his high school coach Ed Cromley. Now before any of you buttsuckers get on here and hammer me I know Tennant is no Ed Cromley. But he's using a lot of what he learned from him is all I'm saying.

This Friday in McArthur. Start time 6:30

I don’t believe fans will be allowed inside the stadium but there is a hill behind the scoreboard that would make a good view.

Each band member, cheerleader and football player is allowed two tickets each. The visiting team is allowed two tickets for football players and cheerleaders. Everyone else will be on the hill.
