2020 St. Clairsville 31 - 19 Oak Hill

Post by john_rambo »

Everything is pointing as a go for this week 1.

Nobody up here knows much about Oak hill,
St.clairsville looks to have another solids team, the lines are big and strong, and will look to run the ball. Can oak hill stood a bruising running game?

Oak Hill has a strong tradition. They play in a tough league and are playing a brutal schedule this year. They are underdogs in this matchup but could pull off the upset.

I doubt I’ll be at any away games this year. Hopefully there is a stream somewhere.

Apparently St. Clairsville streams their games on nfhsnetwork.com. Can anyone confirm that this game will be streamed. There is a fee of $10.99 per month for a subscription.

Oak hill can pull this off....their
Jump to new conference play a year ago has helped them to be prepared for matchups like this.

ST C is so big on the line. This will be a hard game for Oaks to win.

I was able to find some info about St Clairsville. This ones going to be tough for the Oaks. They look massive on the line and their records the last two years were 12-1 and 8-3 in Div 4.

Not disagreeing. On paper, size wise or talent wise ST C should win. But the Oaks ended well last year , playing tough game against Waverly and I believe winning at Minford. I will not be suprised by the outcome either way. Oak hill has a shot and they’ll play hard.

Definitely a solid program in recent years.

St clairsville was very up and down last year. They took a very good Indian creek to the last play of the game. Then had a huge let down against Harrison Central. The devils should be much more hard nosed and physical this year. If the offense is able throw at all this year they will be hard to beat. When the kids and town are disappointed with an 8 win season you are doing something good! These boys know how to win, and they are very hungry!

I’ll take the Devils by at least two scores in this one.

A long trip up to St Clairsville, probably an even longer trip back to Oak Hill.

If St. C is anything like the team I saw back in 07 the acorns are going to take a beating.

Best thing for Oaks fans to do is get there early, go eat at West Texas Roadhouse, go watch 1st half, then go home.
Red Devils look like a lock in this one and a running clock early 3rd quarter.

I'm sure that St Clairsville is probably a pretty good football team. I have a friend that has a son (Senior) that plays for Oak Hill, this is not an excuse at all, but he told me a few days ago that this is the least talented team that the Oaks have had in years. I hope that he and I are both wrong.
