You are right, sort of. It’s not that strong, but it’s not as weak as you make it out to be.You will understand if they play Wheelersburg.

Look,Oak hill beat Minford.Minford scored 28 against the Burg and lost by 14.I don’t usually compare scores but its so obvious I can’t help it.Great game Waverly against the Burg but neither one can play with Ironton.

Not impressed with Ready. Whitehall is bad.

Ridgewood
Ironton
Burg

I got Ironton at 2 for a couple fundamental reasons. Depth & defense. Just like last season Ironton wins all night up front. Schedule is soft but the defense is solid and Pendleton has a lot of bodies with game experience to throw at ya. Ironton needs to clean up some mistakes, good news there, is Burg could benefit doing the same.

All that said - any of the 3 could catch the other one sleepin. Ain't no automatics.

This is how i think it will play out. I have Ironton beating Kirtland for the title this year
That’s probably the logical top 3 but I don’t think ironton wins it. I think roger bacon and Kirtland in the final.

My guess at Joe Eitels points after week 5, before the seedings.

1. Ironton ---------------- 24.1916 ------ (if Gallia Academy beats Fairland) ---- 22.525 if Gallia loses
2. Wheelersburg -------- 22.7000 ------ (if Chillicothe beats Miami Trace) ----- 20.500 if Chillicothe loses
3. Columbus Academy - 21.2917
4. Ridgewood ----------- 20.0000
5. Liberty Union -------- 19.3917
6. Bishop Ready -------- 18.8000
7. Johnstown Monroe -- 17.7000
8. Harvest Prep --------- 16.2000

I’d rather have the 2 seed than the 1 seed if that’s how the seeding turns out*

Guess we find out who’s well liked in the coaches arena and who’s not. Lol. This is gonna be like the homecoming queen.

Ironton will probably get the one seed just out of respect and what they can do.
I can see Ridgewood getting number 2 seed and Wheelersburg being a 3 seed just because of a loss on their record.
Even though it is not a bad loss it is still a loss.
I am sure who ever gets the 4 seed won't be very happy knowing they will have to play Ironton if they get that far
The problem with Ironton is the starters have not had to play past 3 quarters yet and likely won't have to till they hit the other top 3 seeds of the region.
This is a very strong and deep Ironton team that is actually working on a passing game and is getting better every week.
Ridgewood has good claim for 1 seed as does Wheelersburg but I believe Ironton will get the nod due to last year and their potential this year.

Your right about not playing past 3 quarters and that scares me I’m not worried about conditioning just what happens when there’s a close game the whole game? I have faith for the most part but there are still a few pieces who have yet to play in a big game atmosphere hopefully they show up when it’s time

Checked out D1 Solon high school.Although Kirtlands win over them for a D5 school was impressive,Solon is a below average D1 school.Ironton could handle them easily also.

Huh? No, they aren’t. They’re a perennial playoff entrant in Division 1.
