What a brilliant thing to do when you’ve got warrants. Fight with the police because you don’t want to wear a mask.

Kudos to the Logan athletic department for enforcing the mandate, and to Marietta for backing Logan up when it hit the news.

During the 8th grade football game against Marietta Wednesday night (last night), there were two people on the Marietta side that weren’t wearing masks (mother and a grandmother.) They were told to put their mask on, and the younger woman refused. Logan PD officer Smith (great guy) then came over to asking her to put her mask on. The younger woman clearly had the mask she wore in order to be admitted to the game tucked away in her pocket. She became belligerent and was instructed to leave. It was then that LPD brought the cuffs out and she kept causing a scene about them detaining her. She wouldn’t put her hands behind her back to get cuffed and kept resisting, and after about 40 seconds of this she got tased. They end up cuffing her and escort her out.

I’m having a blast imagining Judge “M” having this case before him, with whatever dumbass argument this lady is going to argue. Might have to take the day off and take it all in.

The headline of the journalist’s story is factually incorrect. She didn’t get arrested for “mask non-compliance”. She would be arrested for trespassing after being asked to leave. Then she became combative and added resisting arrest on top of that. I also like the “spin” the Marietta School Board member tries to put on it blaming the police officer. Ridiculous.

I find it also funny the people online claiming her health condition (asthma) exempts her from wearing a mask. However, evidently the laundry list of drug charges she has had must not affect her health. So mask = bad for health, but drugs = good for health in her world?

The parking lot to the visitors side is every bit of a 5-7 minute walk. That’s a long walk to make, wearing a mask, for someone with asthma.

This whole non-controversy is ridiculous. It’s a trespass, and Logan was right to put it on her. I feel bad for my friend, as the circus is coming to Hocking County.

Back to Friday's game:

Leading up to the game last week, I didn't feel Bloom-Carroll was as strong as their record/results showed. They were very good defensively, but I think I felt Friday reflected it.


I think Logan Elm is much better than many are giving them credit for. This game will not be easy for either team. Should be a good challenge over there.

Logan lost Traten Poling last week, and really missed him. I'm hoping this might be the week Brandon Heft gets back on the field but we'll have to see. Go Chiefs!
