Portsmouths defense was missing all season until tonight.. Gallia was heavily favored yet the game went into OT 12-12. Portsmouth may have lost but this was a win as far as team progression if you ask me

If Portsmouth defense can play 1 more game like last night this game won’t be close. But if the play like the previous 5 weeks northwest can win. The kids grew up playing each other. Been alot of good battles between them though out the years.

Northwest has played every team in Scioto County, including when New Boston (Glenwood) had football, except Portsmouth. If Northwest can control the line of scrimmage and play keep away from Portsmouth, chew up a lot of clock on each possession, they stand a chance.

I would practice run defense all week. I would say change it up but it’s too late for that. Just have to make tackles and step up. There has never been a Portsmouth team I can remember and people said dang Portsmouth’s defense is good. Just need to play hard

If Portsmouth offense is clicking this game will get ugly. They have too much speed. And if the Trojans can stop the run and force some 3 and outs and turnovers. I personally don’t see this being a close game.

They will probably run on Portsmouth, but I think Portsmouth puts up alot of yards through the air
