Yeah a lot of pee wee coaches teach the kids this method, coach at a high school where they've got a 17 man roster then get back with us. Seems like a pretty silly topic.
Injured during the week, but play in a game?

If player x, semi-injured, is willing to give it a go at 90% and he is still better than player z at 100% then coach should play player x. Depending on the injury and situation. Play your best players or wish you had.

This is also a good way to get your players to keep quiet about their injuries possibly further injuring themselves permanently just because they’re afraid the coach will bench them instead of putting a plan together to get them on the field faster and as healthy as possible.
