D1, give me mentor or pick central
D2, likely hoban, but massillon Washington is talented
D3 maybe alter or desales? Know the least about this division
D4 clinton massie, although I'd love to see st c
D5 kirtland
D7 marion local

D6 if ff could somehow win it, 2020 would turn into the best year ever:)

Hoban

Marion local public school d7 has won 11 titles more than
St ignatius but no one worries about that. Pick central knows how to win a title

Marion local competitive balance number is 2, that's why noone worries about them. Unlike newark catholic whose number is 12 and st ignatius is 277. Marion local players are kids from their district.

12 is not at all a significant CB number.

It is when your enrollment is 87.

It means four players on NC’s roster from last year didn’t attend the Catholic grade school in Newark. Even if they attended a Catholic grade school elsewhere.

Again, not significant. That’s a low CB number across either public or private school status.

And that 87 figure doesn’t mean anything when it’s not applied in the correct context.

Guess I'm confused by why greenwave38 brought up marion local. Are we supposed to be upset that they've won11 titles with kids from their district? Or just be upset because they're the most dominant program the state has ever seen for their size? Why specifically point them out?

MSML hasn’t won more than St. Ignatius has. Both have 11 football championships. That statement may be true after this year. MSML defense is playing lights out and I don’t see ANY of those teams not struggling to put points on the board. They have gave up 8 points in 6 full games and could have easily not gave up those 8. That conference makes D6 and D7 tough

. My post went over your head. I am saying marion local a public school can win state titles and you dont hear them complaining every year about catholic schools they just win no matter who they play. Same with pickerington central .

Your post didn't go over my head, if that's what you meant then it was worded awfully. First off, there aren't many catholic schools in Marion's region, secondly your naming 2 schools that don't complain would be way outnumbered by those that do. Me, i really don't care. Parochial and public schools both recruit. I just find it funny that people of schools known to recruit justify it.

Percentage went up to 38% this week from 25% left last week and 2 of those losses by Hartley and Ursuline were to Lake Catholic and DeSales.

Still left:

D1 - X
D2 - Hoban, LaSalle
D3 - DeSales, Alter (play each other this week)
D4 - Lake Catholic
D5 - Roger Bacon
D6 - --------
D7 - NC, JFK (play each other this week), LCC

(26 teams left, 10 Catholics, 38.5%)
