Coaches at BU liked him. Good work ethic. Decent, but not an earth-shattering or generational player.

That’s about 99.9% of all the football players. The work ethic will be more important in his life.

Correct! If this kid were the next Katzenmoyer, Pendleton, or Jack Tatum then it would be greatly obvious as soon as he walked through the doors at his first day at Waverly High.

I have no knowledge of a Ashland transfer. Let alone them enrolled. According to some people that have kids in there, they don't have any of that knowledge either.

This young man and younger brothers moved to Waverly for reasons way beyond athletics, reasons that won’t be shared on this forum.
This is def not a case of “transfer” to play sports.

Of course Wade Futhey (class of 2022), twin brother of Will, was the immediate backup to Shanks and has the most work and reps of anyone coming back. Hudson Kelly (class of 2023) could be competing for the spot as well. The Hurd boy coming in as a Sophomore has some really good size and looked good when he came in against the Tigers this past season, completed some nice passes. Not sure if there's anybody else...

Waverly still looking to improve facilities downtown. The “Jumbotron” Video Scoreboard Board has been purchased and is to be installed this spring. My understanding is it will be installed on the end of the field closest to the tennis courts and the existing board will remain. A new indoor facility is in the plans but I’m not sure if it’s finalized yet.

Isn't Hurd a running back? He didn't play any quarterback that I saw

He’ll still be RB, I’m talking about his cousin.

Hurd ? Doesn’t he play at west or am I thinking of another player?
