How can Burg compete now that Ironton is an official Nike team according to their Facebook page?

Good question :D

Seriously, pretty neat that Nike picked Ironton, one of two schools in Ohio I believe.

Does kirtland wear Nike? I’d go with their uniforms. They work.

I looked it up. Yep they wear Nike too. No wonder kirtland is a power house. They have Nike jerseys. of course burg does too.

My assumption is ironton got a grant through Nike to sponsor them. Even though the post is to make coach look good, it is cool that the kids will get some new stuff.

MAC schools are all sponsor by Hard Knocks..... Hell of a sponsor! Not much on uniforms or buses though.

Even with his persistency to obtain the greatest transfers for his team, Pendleton has yet to find a kicker… Advantage Burg once more, as they have rising senior Braxton Sammons, who is ranked as the 9th best kicker in the country, to boot the ball for them. Burg 24
Ironton 13

They may find a kicker but the sammons kid is legit. He’s been in a lot of camps and is getting a lot of interest. Not sure where he’s going but I’ve heard Louisville and Akron are on the radar.

That’s awesome, anytime a local kid gets to continue playing and getting their education paid for is great. Congratulations to the young man, can’t wait to see him in action.

That's awesome for the young man. Offers for kickers are hard to come by. As far as IHS goes just be consistent on PAT's anything else is gravy

I cant wait to watch this game! Its going to be a lot closer than some people think and has a chance to be one of the best regular season games of the year. Highly doubt this game will be decided before the 4th qtr.. I'm expecting a BATTLE

Pretty self explanatory if you followed the sequence.

I find great humor in the Burg posters who talk (or whine) about other schools getting kids to go there from out of the district.

I agree the Sammons kid is legit. Great kicker. I say Sammons hits from 47 yards out on the final play of the game... Ironton 35- Burg 3

You say the same argument every time but this is apples and oranges. Name a year when burg had four to five starters who played for another high school on their team. You can’t. It’s never happened. Ironton will have 5 that I know of again this year. Stop looking at the CB. Burg has always had a kids that live on the outside district. No surprise there.

Burg had one year influx of kids that came in junior high two or three years ago and every one in scioto county got bent out of shape. Guess how many of those kids are playing this year? One.
