Ironton 2021 Outlook?

Post by XandOs »

Looks like the Fighting Tigers return a lot from last years team.

Going by starters in state championship

7 return on Offense - Return entire O line, QB, RB, TEs
6 return on Defense- Return entire D line, 1 LB, 2 DBs

Of course they lose All-American Reid Carrico and he will be impossible to replace. But the other skill guys were young and will be back along with a JV and freshman team that went undefeated.

Expect this team to keep on competing for Championships next December.

Wasn't the Center a Senior?

Yes he was. But there was also a junior that took a lot of reps there and played a lot of meaningful minutes.

Those JR’s will only get better and better. I know they lose Carrico. How many others do they lose?

Going to be interesting this next season. There will be some talent out there, but don’t except to be playing past regional final unless coach opens up that playbook on offense.

I’m sure he will use this year and last game as a learning experience. The offense does need opened up I agree, the defense just needs 4 quarters of football. They did good the first half. Couldn’t have asked for much better honestly. 10 points was our second lowest at the half all year out of 11 games. I will be keeping up with you guys again this season. Best of luck

Carrico will be a big loss but I still believe they got the talent to have another good season this coming year

Does the MyTown page do the games every season like they did this one? I love all football and have become a fan tbh...

Yes, Carrico is a big loss. They started in the weight room as soon as the season was over, they’re not taking December off 😁

Nice! I see that on their page. You know who’s fans call me foolish but it definitely works. I’d like to see them argue LaVerde  I’m on the Tiger side in that rivalry :D

This was their second season doing Ironton games, I think it will continue. They’re out of Kentucky, somehow we managed to get them.

It’s awesome they do that! The games here that get streamed cost $10. I need to recommend someone doing that here for free

Lol only thing it has accomplished is getting my number of posts up smh. I’ve seen Ironton fans on their page catching on and first thing they posted was weight room open 365 days so at least their not oblivious
