If this is true, it is sad news and very unfortunate for the Vinton County football program.

One thing for sure. They need to do a national search and bring in a proven winner. Someone these boys can turn to that will help them bring another trophy to VC. Does anyone have thoughts on what it takes to be classified as a proven winner? Or if you can just give insight on traits a good VC coach needs you can list them here.

Coach Bethel is a fantastic football mind. I hate this for VC football snd even more so for such a good person and coach in Travis Bethel. It will be hard to replace his love and loyalty to both the VC Football Program and the VC community. I wish them all the best of luck.

The one person who can meet all your criteria is Jackie O. But they turned him down once or twice so he may no longer be interested. They're crazy if they don't contact him though. Other than that, get a guy with a solid nickname like Jesty, Dusty, Rusty, Dutch... and find out if he can get kids to run through brick walls. That would be a good start.

Maybe they’ll get someone who fights other coaches at halftime. You should be worried about beating your big brother Trimble. You’re now the little brother and no longer relavent. 🤗

Are we sure this isn’t a rumor floating around? There has been nothing public in the local media, the job has not been posted, and the team has still been lifting.

Just call Trimble your daddy and prepare for the annual beating this fall. Hype the game up and get rolled as usual. Yawn.

The buckeyes need to do a coach search and find someone who can beat Trimble. Nickname not important , as long as it’s not “choke” 😂
