Also since I haven't seen anyone mention them Adena did take on Beaver Pike Saturday morning I believe it was. Heard they looked decent but hard to tell with Beaver being down. Heard Adena won 4-0, they graduated a lot from one of the better if not best teams to come through there. Seems like they're looking to build off of that.

They graduated a ton, but they still have a bunch of guys who went head to head with those studs every day in practice, which can only make you better.

The amount of pride that they have, to go with an excellent work ethic, will make the Warriors a tough out.

Since Howard Zody took over the program in 1996, they have been consistently strong. Rarely posting back to back losing seasons and only less than 4 wins thrice. Coach Grigsby will have them continuing on the right path, IMO.

Coach Grigsby was a homerun hire for the Warriors. The kids love him, and he loves the community. That's a recipe for success. They may be down, obviously from the last couple years, but he is building a program, and the kids are buying in from the youth level up. They definitely have the athletes to surprise some teams this year.

I’d say your two winners are the front runners.

I saw where Madison Plains starting QB got knocked out of the game against Westfall. It was 14-12 at the half, then a Sophomore came in to throw 4 TD's and almost 200 yards against the Mustangs. Score ended up 40-12.

After winning by 28 last week, Madison-Plains is -28 against their SVC opponents

Between that and Piketon, that’s about the positive things about SVC football tonight

The big “tell” is teams on the bottom rung of the SVC signing up to play freaking Circleville and getting blasted anyways.

Madison Plains had 23 players dressed against Zane Trace. Covid problems and the starting QB was out.
They cancelled the JV game early in the week because of contact tracing.

From what I see, SVC is down as a conference with a lot of rebuilds. Piketon vs PV should be a good one.

I think it will come down to Piketon, PV, Zane Trace and Unioto. All 4 should make the playoffs. The conference may be down in terms of a dominating team but it will be one heck of a 4 team race for the championship this year.
