With the year they had last year, you'd think they would bring the entire staff back.

Given the melodrama that seems to constantly surround the Mohawk football program, one has to ask is Roy Rogers Field built over an native American burial ground?

Interesting. A successful staff doesn't even want to stay there. Makes you wonder what kind of a mess is behind the scenes.

Does seem strange

I thought they would've saw more success with the talent they have . Gonna be really tough when they move to the SOCII next year or the year after

I bet they see what’s ahead!! That’s going back to SOC II which is a bigger animal on the field than SOC I. Better get out now than year before the move.

Probably some truth to it as the move will be tough on Northwest. But that much staff turnover still surprising to me given the year Northwest just had, and all the returning players for next year.

Still would like to see SOC go to 3 divisions for football and put all (or some combination of) of the following teams together: Northwest, Oak Hill, Valley, Symmes Valley, Eastern. Then they wouldn’t be forced to play Burg, West, Waverly, Minford (unless they wanted to as a non-conference game) and would give the bigger schools more scheduling flexibility.*

Don't think moving up had anything to do with it.
Was told one of the coaches was starting medical school and couldn't come back.
Other ones was basketball guys and will be there for the kids that don't play football. Which good be really good.
One just didn't want to come back.

Was told they picked up a couple young guys to coach that will really be good for the program.
Three divisions would be good.

So you're going to have a 4 team division?? Leaving them to find 7 non-conference games in this area?? Simply doesn't make any sense, I mean to go to 3 divisions they'd have to take in 6 more teams more than likely. In this are you simply can't split into 3 divisions with only 4 teams per, you'd need the 6 teams just so you can add 2 per division. The math doesn't work at all for something like that in it's current state and finding 6 teams to fill voids yeah right.

This is under the assumption South Gallia is coming in, and then trying to add more schools (Portsmouth the obvious first choice, and maybe Ironton/Jackson). I'd anticipate most of them picking up other schools they already play, but as nonconference games, to fill out their schedules. Again, will never happen, so just spit-balling here. But there is no right answer for Northwest and Oak Hill (and Valley here in a few years based on their junior high numbers).*

3-51 against West, ouch. I knew it was bad, but not that bad. That has to be one of the worst records ever against someone after playing that many times.

2005 Northwest over Minford, what an awful memory, I think the concession stand ran out of paper bags that night for people leaving the stadium.

I remember hearing the score that night and the shock at the West game.

NW will do ok in the SOC this year. If the move is actually coming, then they go back to the bottom of the barrel. It's tough having to compete against Burg and West, but they are a huge school and that's where they belong, instead of beating up on East, Green and Notre Dame. The huge coaching staff change might hurt more than expected.
