To transfer because you don't like JH coaches is ridiculous. That's 2 years and on to better things. Some kids aren't even developed yet. Doesn't mean a whole lot. Idk why we are teaching the youngins if you dont get your way to bounce. Not the way I was brought up.

From what I've seen the middle school has been a strength of the program the last few years and has led to the uptick in talent. The sophomores are the core of the high school team and lost one game in Middle School. The Freshmen were undefeated both years of Middle School. 8th Graders this year lost 1 game in two years.

As the other poster said you're never gonna please some people. Some look for excuses to leave because their kids either aren't playing where they want or how much they want.

I TOTALLY AGREE!!! I don't like moving to another school unless the "Home" school is not up to par teaching the child. I have some close friends who have 1 at one school, 1 at another simply because of sports. I will pray for them, but it's their decision(s).

Dirt work for the Field Turf installation started yesterday

Ted Newsome is the new offensive line coach taking over for Gilliland as he becomes head coach. He's one of the best offensive line coaches around and if the line comes together like I think it will, this team is gonna be really really good. They work hard. They're skilled, in shape, and fast.

Newsome took Green to the playoffs in 2018. Enough said.

Anyone know anything about the design of the new turf field? Would hate for it to resemble Burgs field too much lol

Good question! Did anyone at the board meeting see an artists rendering, or sketch?

I’d say they wouldn’t be anywhere near laying carpet down yet.

Still working with the dirt. I see a small portion of the field daily, they are weeks away from finishing. Be patient everyone, it is soon to be a reality.

First two games of the season are away for the Senators. That gives them some extra time to finish.

Good to see West getting Turf. Their field was bad.

Good team this year. My sleeper pick for SOC Champ and a good playoff run. They have some nice returning players

This line was HUGE two years ago…..I’ve said this before and I’ll say this again…..the west time was young a few years ago and played well…..they stay healthy west will be makin noise come week10……i suspect this team to do well……

Arbiter says the first 2 games are @ West. Did things change?

Schedule I saw showed the first 2 games at home. Whether that has changed I don’t know

Hearing a lot of good things about this team. Done well at the Jackson 7 on 7 scoring 3 or 4 times on Jackson in 10 plays, tying a good Paint Valley team, and done well against Vinton County Friday. They will be really good this year.
