Thanks for the reply, suppose my buddy must know what he’s talking about lol. Interesting that he’s back already, wonder what happened? Regardless he gives Portsmouth another weapon.

Waverly will be a good measuring stick for the Trojans.

Heard the Trojans performed well at the Eku 7v7 yesterday.

Trojans went 5-1 at the 7 on 7 and made the quarterfinals. PHS should score a ton of points this year, but the question as always will be how many will they give up?

Thanks for the info TD. Have to agree with you, defense is always a question mark for Portsmouth. I’ll add on to that and say they will score a ton of points, but could be even more if they have a halfway decent line to block for Roe. Has the midnight madness happened yet?

Defense has to improve. We scored 63 vs coal grove last year. Bad part was we gave up 66. Like Dave said we can put up a ton of points and stats on offense but defense needs to hold a few possessions

Stopped by the administration office today.......and was told that as of today, there are no mask requirements at the football games. But it's still 3 weeks away before the Valley game.......let's hope that we can leave the masks at home. I for one have been vaccinated and have had absolutely no side effects from it.

If the mask mandate returns, I'll be staying home just like last year......and probably a whole bunch of other Trojan fans also.

Should be a very interesting one for Portsmouth tonight, with them relying so much on Roe at the QB position and Waverly having mostly seniors playing in the secondary and 2 big DE's this is going to be a big test for Roe and the Trojans. Great tune up game for the Trojans

This scrimmage might be impacted by storms. Hope we can get it in.

Very very hot and humid with storms coming in. Not a good weather outlook for tonight.

Not sure I’ll make the scrimmage. I’m not setting in the rain. I heard that Duncan is offensive play caller this year. If so I expect roe to run the ball quite a bit. I remember purdy and the kelly kid at qb and sometimes it seemed qb sneak 1,2,3 down. But we have a passing game so who knows. This team has speed but the big if is the line. Portsmouth has never been a defensive team but we need to make some stops. I think Portsmouth can pull a 7-3 season. Ironton, west, valley are hard to pick. That Cincinnati school was pretty good last year. And I worry about teams who will run it down the Trojans throat. I’m so glad football is back and stay away delta covid please.

Hoping they can get the scrimmage against Waverly in tonight. Weather looks to be a factor, although it looks like it may be out of here by 7. This is an important scrimmage for Portsmouth. Waverly is going to be really tough this year, so getting some reps against them would be very beneficial for the Trojans. I’m stuck at work so I won’t be going. Someone who goes please post how it goes? Hopefully no injuries for either team.

Looks like the weather is going to be good now. Storms moving through and out and temps have dropped.

Waverly Oline still without starters and not sure when they will be ready to return.
Offense with playmakers all over the field but getting the ball to them will be the challenge.
Interested to see what they did since the Ironton scrimmage.
