Let’s go good to see Fort Frye as they are loaded and playing a state wide schedule.

Looks like they’re covering the SOC2 and OVC. MVL is always a bear but the SOC2 is the premier league in SE Ohio. The SOC2 stacks up against any other conference in the region pretty well!

Yep, we'll be at plenty of SOC 2 and OVC games this season. Hoping to become a one stop shop for anything Southeast Ohio football. One place where you can see highlights from Ironton, Trimble, Wheelersburg, Fort Frye, Sheridan, etc. (picked those teams based on geographic gaps) There's nothing that exists like that currently and we're hoping to change that. Schools like Gallia and Waverly are also only about an hour from Athens, which makes it very manageable to attend on a Friday night, but we know there will be a lot of travel required with this expanded coverage area.

We're hoping to provide the best coverage of Fort Frye you'll find this season. Lots of exciting games on their schedule in 2021

Never thought Zanesville would ever schedule a D6 team.

Will have to reset the DVR this season.

How cool would it be if you guys could do a game of the week even if it was taped delayed.

No preview show this year? Also will you be able to pack all that in a half hour show? Always thought it would be nice to see more teams in this area.

No preview show this year, there will be lots of content posted on social media throughout July and August to make up for that. More content will be posted in the summer than past years. Make sure you are following us on social media to stay up to date. Also, not every game we cover will be featured on the 30 min show. Some games will just have highlights/recaps posted online. This allows us to cover more games and stay for the entire game and get postgame interviews.

You guys at GG need to get WOUB to go a full hour. That's the best way to promote Ohio University's journalism department and give all of you experience of covering the great sport of h.s. football. Best of luck. Are you covering the schools in the MOVL?

If the coverage area is doubled, is the time of the show doubled from 30 minutes to 60 minutes? If not, that means your core area of coverage will only have 15 minutes of coverage instead of 30 like in years past. That's not better coverage for your core area.

I think it's great if this means the show is expanded to 60 minutes. Otherwise, things will be too rushed and the show won't be as interesting as it once was.

Show will continue to be 30 minutes however we will be posting lots of online only content. In the past, Gridiron Glory covered 5-6 games per week. This season we plan to double that. Only 5-6 games will appear on the show, however highlights and video recaps will be able to be found online for the rest of the games. The core audience that gridiron has covered for years will continue to get the same, if not more, coverage than past years. I think if anybody has any concerns about this move, our preseason coverage will ease some doubts.

Gonna be honest, producing an hours worth of content before 11:30 on Friday night every week would be darn near impossible with our current staff. Gridiron would need more adults assisting and more student volunteers with previous live TV experience. (Basically more upperclassmen that are familiar with WOUB) We will likely see a few games with teams from the MOVL this season, but not many. Haven’t officially mapped out our coverage plans but that league is a pretty far trip from Athens. I know plenty of teams closer to Athens meet up for playoff matchups with teams from that league, I can promise you Gridiron Glory will be at those games.

For those curious about the expansion, this graphic should help visualize our new coverage. We’re going to be covering more games every week to make sure our previously covered teams keep their same amount of coverage they expect from Gridiron Glory, we are just adding new teams to the glory. Most of our new teams don’t receive much coverage from television stations around their market as well, so we’ll be providing a new type of content for them.
