Ironton 7 on 7 - 23 July - 11 am - at the Tank

Post by ohbuckeye2 »

The Fighting Tigers will be hosting a 7 on 7 and Lineman challenge this Friday the 23rd at 11am. I saw where they’re looking for possibly another Team. The following Teams are scheduled to attend:

- Ironton
- Johnson Central, KY
- Raceland, KY
- Spring Valley, WV
- Waverly
- Western Brown
- Oak Hill

Tremendous opportunity for area players interested in building their skills.

So awesome to see how much is being offered to the youth in the tri-state area for potential growth from quality leaders.
Only good things will come from this & the schools attending these skill building ops will only become better.

GO GET IT !!

Coaches have been allowed to coach all summer.
We can use a couple days at the end of July for acclamation days as well.

Waverly looks really good, beat Johnson Central pretty good in their first matchup, playing Wester Brown now, pretty tight game in the first Quarter.

Ironton beat Oak Hill pretty good, playing Johnson Central now.

Waverly vs Ironton, both teams airing it out with 2 TD’s each. Three of the 4 TD’s were on bombs. Ironton just intercepted. Waverly just intercepted Irontons pass.

2nd QTR - 1 Pick each Team so far, Waverly ball

Waverly drives down and scores, XP intercepted

Ironton Drives and scores, XP good

Ironton player helping a Waverly player work out a cramp.

Waverly scores last play

Raceland and Spring Valley wasn’t here

Western Brown and Johnson Central split up into 2 Teams each.

I got word that Waverly looked pretty good for their first outing. Also, their speedster, Alex Boles, wasn’t able to make it.

They looked really good from what I seen, should be a really good year for the Tigers of Waverly.

Heard things were a little chippy at the end with Ironton and Waverly after Waverly beat them. Could make for an interesting scrimmage in a couple weeks. Ironton couldnt guard Fuethy, everything is different though come scrimmage time

It was chippy after the first score from Waverly from what I heard, that includes coaches and players. Not saying anything got out of hand but words were exchanged a few times along with some other things occurring. Don’t really like that going into the scrimmage tho. Afraid things could escalate further and someone could end up getting hurt. Hopefully not tho, hoping it’s productive for both teams.

Irontons Lineman won all 6 events in the Lineman challenge. They beat Johnson Central in the Tug of War challenge 2 out of 3 times. There were 6 Linemen on each side in the Tug of War.

Those Johnson Central boys are HUGE and a lot of them.

How’s Waverlys Line this year? The Trenches is where Ironton will be really strong this year.

It will be a very very good year for Waverly if the Tiger line performs well. There is no question Waverly has the "skill" players to beat anyone on their schedule.
