From what I can recall...

81 points is the most points Belpre has ever given up.

36 points is the most points we have scored in a loss.

Worst loss ever, 2016 to Waterford 68 - 0.

It sounds like that new coach needs to find some different words to motivate those boys! WOW!

Why exactly is Belpre playing Meigs, anyways?

And I've said since day one, why hire someone who has never coached on any level. So unfair to the kids. The BOE was "star struck" because he played at Ohio State. wow

And why would MEigs run the score up like that too.

The only score I thought was a little act of class was the last one

I can tell you a lot of teams they play will run the score up because of all the hype he brought in. Instead of being a humble first year coach he made it into he was gonna win a state championship in his first year and since he played at Ohio state he thought his team would play like Ohio state. During the game coach bell turned around to the crowd and screamed out his phone number and said if anyone wanted to coach this team to call him. That just screams someone that is in over his head.

81 points is a crazy amount for a football game. Most seeing that would assume the score was being ran up.
Running up the score in any sport really hits a nerve with me, however, I sat there the whole game and can say that wasn't the case. Belpre just had no way at all to even slow Meigs down. Meigs was taking knees on 1st down in scoring position before halftime and the 2nd half was a running clock and all on the ground with knee even being taken on extra point attempt. Meigs does have a pretty decent offence but they are still very young. Most skill positions are sophomores and even a lot of sophomores across both the O and D lines. Senior QB though is the real deal.
The 2 Martin boys for Belpre are big, strong and very good. They have the ability to score on any team. Belpre just desperately needs some more kids playing.
