Just by looking at the teams each have played so far, I’d have to say Portsmouth wins.

Coal grove always plays Portsmouth tough. No secret they will run down Portsmouth’s throat. Defense just needs to keep doing what they have been doing. Don’t want a trap game

My Groves chances are all relying on successfully running the ball getting 1st downs and controlling the clock. Also, we have to get TD's on every possession, can't settle for anything else. On defense play the pass and force Porstmouth to run the ball. This as give the Grove a chance.

Agree, but I think Portsmouth may have found a running game after the last 2 games.

Hammond is a good back for Portsmouth but the speed is the Johnson kid. They have a run game if needed.

Not to mention the run game from Drew Roe.

I don't know but I honestly think this will be a close game ,I guarantee you coach Lucas will have his kids ready to play

Portsmouth took control of the game early, jumping out to a 28-0 lead. To Coal Grove's credit, though, they battled all night, putting up a TD just before the half and 2 TD's in the final 2 quarters. Drew Roe once again made big plays with his feet and arm, as Donovan Carr was on the receiving end of 2 TD passes. PHS's defense finally gave up its first rushing TD of season as CG scored late in the 2nd quarter. PHS was 6 for 6 on PAT's.

Good to talk to CG basketball coach Kevin Vanderhoof and his assistant......always good to talk some hoops during football season. I've always admired how Coach Vanderhoof gets his kids to play hard on the hardwood.

GO TROJANS!! 5-1 overall, 2-0 in the OVC!!

As a Trojan fan it is so amazing that it took till WEEK 6 for someone to score a rushing TD on Portsmouth. One of my favorite stats of the season so far.

Great to win but 2nd half maybe Portsmouth toned it down because they looked like they were just playing the motions. Coal grove showed last night you can run on the Trojans but Portsmouth’s defense is playing 1000 times better then years past.
