Hopefully my Trojans can get back on the winning side of the score board after a tough loss at waverly.

Last years game was 66-63. The Stapleton kid for coal grove had maybe 350 yards rushing. Trojan defense was god awful. But this is a new year so I’ll take the Trojans 66-63. I’m sure it won’t be that high. Coal grove had a ton graduate and I think our defense is 100 times better.

Trojans should be a 3 TD favorite. Coal grove running the ball like crazy will eat up clock so Portsmouth probably wont score too high. Another chance for the defense to keep improving. Absolutely love how the defense is turning things around! 35-7 Trojans

Not making any predictions on the outcome but I just hope the game is played. With the cancellations that have already happened, there's concern every week as to whether a game will be played. Also, the Trojans need to play to put that 35-34 loss to Waverly behind them.

GO TROJANS!! Let's go 2-0 in the OVC!!

Coal Grove sitting at 3-1 but the 3 wins are against teams a combined 1-10, Trojans coming off a tough loss to Waverly but I think there's just to much talent on the Portsmouth team for CG to keep up. Trojans with a running clock

Gallia cancelled on fairland today. Portsmouth needs these wins for the ovc. Portsmouth and ironton could be tied for the ovc in week 10 if the Trojans win out.

Thats how I see this regular season ending. If so the crowd for that game should be HUGE. Both teams would enter 8-1, and winner would have the higher seed for playoffs. Only thing standing in the way of this happening is Fairland, Trojans need to walk into that game READY.

I think the Trojans will bounce back with a win over the Hornets after a heart breaking loss to the Tigers. Not only have the Trojans improved big time on defense, probably have a little more firepower than the Hornets.

Hoping this one ends up being played. Both teams played last week, so I think chances are high, but this season you never know. Assuming it does go on, I think the Trojans will come out and pound the Hornets. CG always plays Portsmouth tough, but they haven’t beat anyone this year, Portsmouth is on another level. Would be nice to get a running clock the next 2 weeks (next week they have Peake) and rest some kids up for the game at Fairland. That said no looking ahead Trojans, focus on CG, pickup win number 2 in the OVC.

2018 had me shaking my head. I was working with some Lawrence County guys and they ribbed me about that one.
