Carpenter should get a couple quarters of reps with the 1's given defense handles their business. Young guys get a chance at some meaningful reps. Would like to see Ironton assert that running game and increase Keys touches behind that big physical offensive line. Keys is a physical runner with D1 size and just enough quickness to make tacklers miss. Let Carpenter take advantage of that more productive running game and take more shots down the field w pa. Make defenses respect we will pressure you in the running game and we will be aggressive and take shots down the field. I'd like to see em utilize some naked sets w 5 wide. Perkins, Young, masters, wylie, etc and try to get the ball out fast to some of these playmakers. Let em make some plays and make some guys miss. Offense did a good job of cleaning up penalties last couple weeks.

Like to see a lil more tempo in Ironton offensively now that Carpenter has returned. Ironton is big & physical and they can wear on a defense. Just a lil more urgency may make them pretty tough to get off the field.

Ironton scrimmaged Waverly and Cabell Midland. Waverly is a very good D4 team who at that time was completely healthy and Midland is arguably the best team in WV. They’ve had 6 straight weeks of no slouches.
