Not sure. Sounds like there was a serious injury to Belpre player.

Rebuilding a program requires consistent actions, operating within your own school’s bounds, coaching your own athletes. Those who try to beat”normalcy” end up hurting the effort,
and setting things back. And you need a solid AD DIRECTING IT ALL.

Next year the team will be very good…it takes a while to fix things. Bell could go 8-2 and into playoffs. He would be a good AD candidate.

You and I plus a few others need to just be positive and rely on Board leader M for answers and direction.

Patience. The new coach will turn it all around. Give him another year with a weight lifting program, off season conditioning and time to study opponent films. He will do a lot of design work and then educate the kids. Now that all in the high school have seen him they will want to join weight work.

Just trying to evaluate all… seems like if they improved the defense they will win a lot. I have worked around good band directors and they always fixed all. I think lots students from Belpre and Parkersburg will play now that they know what Bell can do.

Short of bringing back Ralph Holder and Belpre’s rosters from the 80s, I don’t see how this gets better anytime soon.

Bell was specifically hired by Big M to win so it will happen. They are building a trustworthy athletic Dept for Belpre and select Pburg athletes. The place will rock and roll once the new coach gets in the groove. Big M has a plan. I have been around there all my life so I know M will get it done.
