Ironton is 50-15-1 all time vs Gallia Academy. GA only has 6 wins since 1970.

1970: GA 28 Ironton 13
1976: GA 18 Ironton 14
1984: GA 19 Ironton 2
2006: GA 14 Ironton 7
2017: GA 38 Ironton 20
2018: GA 36 Ironton 33

We are not going to cancel. We can’t wait to see that pretty bus you all have.
enjoy the bus because you won't enjoy the game.
Listen, there is no doubt who should win the game. Better coaching, better facilities, better lifting program, 4x as many players, yes Ironton should win, buts stranger things have happened. The Gallia Academy sophomores are 4-1 against the current Ironton sophomores. Gallipolis has 22 players and with 11 of them being sophomores. We have played with kids from our district and that has come up through our youth programs. Its hard/tough to compete right now when you have basically 15 kids that play. Player development has been a major downfall at Gallipolis along with being innovative. No excuses just the truth. Bring your bus, fans, 20 coaches on the sidelines and whatever else you pride yourself on. The sun will come up on Saturday and we will be on to the next week and neither team will win a state championship this year.

In memory of a very good friend Gahs4ever let's play the game and let the chips fall where they may. He would always save me a parking place by the concession stand so I didn't have to fight the hill. Visited him at the VA hospital before he passed. Hope he has the best seat in the house Friday night. RIP my friend.

Well said Mr. 305. I will want to know is there more to life down there in Ironton other football. Seems not at all. You all have a good program, nice facilities, nice bus and don’t forget your Nike elite, but where does that get you all in life? After high school football is over reality hits not just the kids but you adults that seem to want it more than anything. Why can’t you all just be classy and act like you have been there before. You all have not won a state championship in over 30 years. Congratulations on the last 2 years for being runners up but that is just the prize for the 1st place loser. You all will never beat Kirtland. Good luck this year and act like you all have been there before, but remember football is just a game it does not get you anything in life other than some glory at that time.

Saying a team hasn’t won a state championship when in the same stretch your team hasn’t even won a 2nd round playoff game is very very sad

No, that’s reality my friend. Nothing against Ironton, their fans are what makes me dislike them. I admire your program actually.

A lot of envy and jealousy in this post. When you're use to losing every week it's a lot easier to accept. This year will be no different. Ironton will hang a running clock on your football team. Gallia will not qualify for playoffs. Ironton will make a playoff run. Ironton will graduate a senior class of winners who go off into the world capable and prepared to be successful in life, AND the sun will still rise on Saturday with some being happier than others 😁

Sounds like Gallia has a lot of underclassmen on the team. I would think Gallia should be a lot more competitive over the next couple years.

It seems at times, at least at the present, that these are two programs that are headed in completely opposite directions.

It also gets you an education PAID IN FULL from a D1 scholarship so there’s that!

So how many of your kids are getting D1 scholarships compared to the number of kids in your program. Dont tell me the last two years. tell me the last 10. I guarantee you that is not a very big percentage and if your talking about home kids the number would be even a smaller percentage.

I am not dishing on Ironton the way their community supports there program is awesome and something to be proud of. But even with the way your community supports them that support is nothing like it used to be in the height of the program.
