Anticipated Coaching Vacancies for 2022

Post by SVC Man »

As the regular season winds down, there is still plenty of football left to be played. That being said is anyone hearing any rumors about coaching vacancies around the state? If so, who are some rumored replacements or coaches you all think would be a good fit?

As a graduate from Chesapeake. I sure hope our position is vacant starting next Saturday.

I've heard some rumors of certain teams but nothing to put out there while we're still in season, there's a few teams I can think of that could use some fresh starts for sure though. Chesapeake being one of them for sure.

More than several OVC teams should be looking for new and improved head coaches. JMO

He does. Or did, I’m pretty sure I saw his name on the coaching staff that I saw though.

Probably nobody’s fault, but many decisions by administrators have caused some of these problems at many schools. Good luck, but the future is not good at many of these schools in a lot of sports. Good luck 🍀

Sometimes fans need to evaluate their community, how they support the programs, the true actual talent within the community and realize that sometimes your community doesn't have the athletes to compete year in and year out.
If your football program is bad more years than not you aren't going to attract a big name coach. Nobody cares that you won a league title back in the 80's and still base your expectations on a distant past.
Be careful what you wish for!

Coaches get the blame more than they should but sometimes they inherit a crappy school board, administration, toxic parents or just not very many talented athletes. The coach gets fired based on results but no one else does. There's been many a good coach lose his job like this. Good example: Andy Hall, rock hill. Bet they'd like to have him now.

Meigs just doesn't have much talent outside of Cleland right now. Coach Tennant is one of the best in the area.

Belpre is a total dumpster fire though. It starts with administration

Haha, Meigs has the most talent on this team since the English kid was there. Two boys with d1 offers and plenty of surrounding pieces to go around them. Those kids did the best that they could for themselves. A lot of times when Tennant can’t even read the coverage.
