Crab's Brother wrote: Sat Oct 16, 2021 12:45 pm I have ZT at 35 level 1 (3.5 average)

I have them getting:

12.5 from Adena
3.5 from Plains
4.5 from Wellston
4.5 from Unioto
4 from Paint Valley

That 29 on top of the 75 they have gets them 104. 104 with a 94 divisor is 11.06

11.06+3.5 = 14.56.
OK. I see now. Assuming Madison Plains and Vinton County win.
I don't even think ZT needs Madison Plains and VC wins to get the 8th seed. 104-8=96. 96 with a divisor of 94 is 10.21 add 3.5 and they are at 13.71. Which is should be enough.
Maybe. Providing no upsets.

Can someone smarter than me explain how the playoffs will work with them being expanded to 16. Who will get a bye week and who gets home games etc. Thx

Just an extra round. So in round one, the top 8 teams get home games with the bottom 8 traveling.

As for matchups, 1 will play 16, 2 will play 15…

In other words, OHSAA makes more money and a lot of teams are in the playoffs that have no reason to be.

It’s just like before, but:

- The OHSAA makes more money
- The games are worse

Going to be a lot of running clocks this year in round one.
Some really bad teams are going to make the playoffs I know a lot of people will say think of the excitement for the kids making the playoffs but how exciting is to lose a game 56 -0 in the first round of a running clock in the playoffs for them.
Just going to be some bad games coming in to this 16 team format

Ridgewood winning
Ironton beating Portsmouth
Wheelersburg beating West
Academy losing
Northwest losing
Ready winning

Let any questions you have rip.
What if Garaway and Portsmouth win?
If Garaway wins, I have Ridgewood at 21.6.

If Portsmouth wins, they would go to 16.93. Ironton would be at 22.38.

I think both ironton and ridgewood win. Basing that on common opponent scores.

8 vs.9, 7 Vs.10 might be decent games.

Ridgewood seems to just have Garaways number really the last few years they both come in undefeated against each other and Ridgewood seems to handle them with ease

Could be different this year. Garaway has a really good defense. Couple of the common opponent scores can’t tell you too much because Tingle was out or not 100 percent. Garaway beat Dalton by 14 but Dalton had some key guys out. Wood beat them by 7 but Tingle was out.

Garaway has had a decent defense the passes few seasons I feel like but I only see them on stories rivals really not the whole game really but they usually keep most teams low scoring

Tingle from Ridgewood is not only a great QB, but an excellent baseball player.
