Well then, move up to the Ohio and prove me wrong.
I see we have another Trimble hater.People just can’t stand that the 2 smallest schools in both leagues dominate year in year out.NY and Trimble reloads every year.As far as you saying that we only played 1 good team.Wrong,JM is D2 and is a good team not as good as FF but good and NY is a good team.JM loss was just a bad decision giving them the ball on the 50 with a minute to go and a face mask to have a 37 yard field goal try to go into OT.NY game doesn’t matter it’s just a slug fest. I personally wouldn’t mind playing in the Ohio.We use to be 1 league years ago and we did complete with the D4 D5 schools so you are wrong again. I Know a little more then you think I do.Build a program like Trimble and Nelsonville and people will always be jealous.
trimble is no where near the smallest in hocking
My thoughts exactly.

Like I said, winning the Ohio tvc isn't saying alot. Trimble lately would win it most years
Nah, we saw what happened to Trimble when they stiffened their schedule just a bit. They are one point and play away from a 6-3 season and only played one real good team and a decent team. As weak as the TVC Ohio is year in and year out it's still leaps and bounds better than the Hocking from top to bottom and Trimble couldn't take the grind week in and week out.
Yep, playing the likes of Athens, river valley and Meigs each week has to be extremely rough. Throw in wellston and VC, who couldn't beat Warren and that makes it extremely tough. That leaves NY, the only legitimate team year in and out. Think Trimble would be fine dealing with that "gauntlet"
I love that VC is on the lips of Fort Fans. It’s humbling actually.

. The T. V. C. Prepare them for postseason? Other than the Burrow years???

They are to big for the league, look at all the other sports.

If they had any pride they would want to play teams their size
Not true. Athens is not dominating like everyone thought. Boys basketball? No. Volleyball? Nope. Softball? No. Girls basketball? Heck no. Baseball is the only sport Athens has dominated and that was to be expected, they are & have been one of the better programs in all of southeastern Ohio regardless of league or division.

Coach K, there are only 7 teams in the league & 1 of the games every year is NY. Athens can play 5 bigger teams/schools and prepare for the post season if need be. But recently, they are just trying to finish above .500, the post season is the last thing they are worried about.

Athens joined in 2008 I believe? And we are still having the same discussion… Athens fits just fine in the Ohio in my opinion. This is not a knock to Athens at all but where is Athens dominating like everybody thinks? Track and Field maybe due to numbers and baseball because they have built a heck of a program and would compete at the top level of any conference they are in, in this area. They provide great competition for NY in football and have been a long time rival playing for a trophy before they even joined the league. Basketball they compete for a title with VC and Alex every year. Volleyball VC, Alex, NY. Girls basketball is about the same as boys. It’s pretty well rounded. Don’t really get the issue. Didn’t understand when they joined either. Also, the TVC-Ohio is fine the way it is, would one more team be great to even it out? Sure. But as I’ve said on here before, the TVC doesn’t have to just open its doors for everybody because they have no place to go. Other leagues have failed, luckily the TVC has not and still has many founding members.

Look at other sports, not just football, N. Y. Not very competitive in baseball, softball, basketball.

I want no part of the tvc Ohio. Step down in competition for us in all sports. Just makes me laugh when people are talking about the quality of the league. Then try and say Trimble couldn't handle the week in week out schedule. Makes no sense to me

I did and I just posted all the league titles going back 6 years or more. As you can see, if you read it, Athens is not dominating like people thought they would. Something else you & others don't know or realize is that Athens use to always play the TVC teams as non league games. I went back and looked at our schedules my senior year in 1993 and they are almost identical as the schedules today. We just flipped the meaning of the games. Instead of SEOAL as our league & TVC non league, we now play a lot of the old SEOAL teams as our non league & TVC as league. We sprinkle in some Circleville's, Waverly's or Logan Elm's today just like we did over 25 years ago.

Even though I have not seen the QB for the Bulldogs play, everyone says that he can really sling the ball. What I'm wondering is how good is the Bulldogs defense? Are the Bulldogs going to have to outscore the Buckeyes to win the game? The home field would have to be an advantage, If I was going to bet, I would have to go with the Buckeyes.

Having to outscore the opponent has been Athens strategy since about 2012. lol

Athens is in the TVC and that won't change. People are going to have to learn to deal with it.

The only weapon Athens has is their QB. He's a very good athlete. He will have some success but as a team I don't think they will be able to stop the Buckeyes run game. I'm not sure they can stop the passing game either. It is a rivalry game so I'm sure the Bulldogs will come out fired up Friday night. Athens will need some kids to really step up this week if they want to have any chance to be in the game in the 4th quarter.

NY nuts up week in and week out playing bigger schools. Meanwhile, Trimble stays down with some the worst D7 schools in the state. Not a hater, just a realist. Nut up and move up if you want to impress. Hey how many league championships did Trimble win when it was one league and what years were they in since you seem to be in the know. I know they won a few at the beginning of their league affiliation, but don't think they won many after that. Just curious.

Didnt Trimble play John Marshall, Nelsonville-York, Fort Frye this year? And Waterford will be a top 6 seed in the region as well. The Cats have played in 2 state championships and 3 state semi-finals since 2013 (8 years) and have competed against (and beat) some of the better small school programs in the state - so I'm not sure I'd go degrading them too much.
