Giorgio Tsoukalous wrote: Tue Nov 16, 2021 9:33 pm I can't help but notice what a difference in strength of schedule between these 2 teams. Burg has played 5 quality opponents in my opinion ( 6 if you count Ironton twice ) and HP has only played 1. In no way do I think the HP schedule has prepared them for burg, and some may argue that burg has played 8 quality opponents, and if you count Ironton and P.West twice each, that's 10 tough games.
I think your SEO bias has skewed your view. Granted HP schedule wasn’t overall a gauntlet of state powers, neither was Burgs! Chillicothe,Valley, West,Oak Hill not great. Can’t speak of the KY teams I’m not familiar. Ironton,Waverly, Minford,Ridgewood quality teams.
As far as HP quality games against Eastmoor(Jackson struggled to beat), Hartley, Academy(who beat Piketon)Amanda(beat Minford),Licking Hts(a solid D2).
I’m sure this time of year both teams will be prepared for a dogfight.

My SEO skewed view is looking pretty accurate right now!

Where was this prep team the 1st half ? They look like a difference team the 2nd half.

I’m eating crow after saying prep is god awful. 2nd half adjustments they made definitely helped.

I'm having a dish of crow myself. Two entirely different teams in the 2nd half

Congrats to Burg on an awesome season. It's tough to end a season this way. I felt Burg let it get away after they didn't punch it in when they had 1st and goal in 1st half. Also, the Burg must have dropped 2 or 3 potential interceptions on defense.

I thought HP was just feeling them out the 1st half and then got off the bus in the 2nd half.

Good season to Wburg, I don't think anyone expected this team to make it this far.

Still a great season from Wheelersburg. Harvest Prep going to be a tough out in this region in the short term. They may eek one out next week for the right to get slaughtered in Canton.

Prep running back was impressive and the 6ft 8 lineman they had. But I agree not as impressive as I have been reading.

Congrats Burg on another great game and another great season. HP will be in trouble against Versailles. They weren't as formidable as everyone said. Or maybe Burg is a good football team.

Burg will definitely out coach them.

Be interesting how this one plays out

Seems like with that half time adjustment, HP outcoached Burg.

Great job by Wheelersburg. Coach Woodward gets it done. Peaks at the right time and actually tends to overachieve a lot. I never could’ve imagined this team being this close to the final 4…..congrats to all the players snd coaches on a great season and a big time post season run.

The SEO area is blessed with a ton of great football coaches. Sucks that so many of them choose to post anonymously on the internet as opposed to coaching.

I knew he had to be at LEAST 6’6, he was two heads taller than every other player on that field

Great season by the Pirates. There isn’t a person on here, including myself, who after game 5 thought this was a possibility this season and yet here they were. Thanks for a very entertaining season.
