Trimble Football 2022

Post by TomcatFootball11 »

Trimble loses some legends to graduation this year. Only a handful returning on both sides of the ball. Only around 3 seniors will play next year. 16 Juniors will be playing next year, which can be huge in the long run for the team. A lot of spots open this year. Non Conference Schedule includes: Nelsonville-York, River, Vinton County, Fairland, Cincinnati Woodward.

Offensive Returnees:
#50 Cole Wright
#64 Allen McLaughlin
#58 Blake Brown
#24 Max Frank

Defensive Returnees:
#50 Cole Wright
#4 Brandon Burdette
#24 Max Frank

Yes it was good that we were able to get out of playing Fort Frye. We can beat River so we should be good to go.

Definitely did everything to get out of coming to Beverly. Thought Trimble would be one program that would take the challenge. Guess not

Is there anything wrong with replacing a team we beat as badly as we want every year with one we can beat? We need this win because we lost a lot and there aren't many for sure non league wins next season.

Really odd Trimble not facing Fort Frye in '22. Is the River/Trimble a two-year deal? They haven't met since '05 I believe.

And River can very easily smoke Trimble.

We'll see. But it won't be a beat down like FF would be.

Why do you say that? Trimble should be loaded shouldn't they?

They were loaded this year and it was a beatdown. We lost some legends so why would it be any different. It won't be a beatdown by River, and I'll be surprised if the Cats don't handle them.

Trimble and Fort have a long term series starting in 2024 week 5 I believe. Why start it 2 years early and in 2 years both teams be looking for week 2 opponents even though they're still playing each other

To be honest, we really thought we'd beat FF last year. I mean we had everyone back from the year before and we thought we could handle everyone on our schedule. But Covid hit so we didn't want to go to VC with a JV team, and then FF just shocked us. Thought we were better than that. As for next year, we need a sure win in the first 5. Couldn't take a chance on going 0-5. FF will be beatable, we think, in a few years so we'll get them back on there. No since in scheduling a sure loss for next year though. That's not how we roll.

Pretty bold statement there bud. I guess we'll see. I hope Fairland doesn't mind getting hit in the mouth, because win lose or draw the Cats will hit you in the mouth.

Cats at 0-5 next year. That should be fun

Nah, we'll beat River, that's why we scheduled them. And that Cincy team isn't very good either. VC should be beatable too. So we will be anywhere from 5-0 to 3-2 or at worst 2-3.

Daddy ball gets them to 1-4. If we aren’t careful these dads will be the downfall of our athletic program. Even the QB position has been given to a coach’s kid recently.
