Paint Valley & Zane Trace will be cream of the crop in SVC! Not sure about Piketon? I know they were senior heavy! Unioto typically underperforms especially with a HC that coaches 2 varsity sports. Hard to be “All In” half of the year! Adena, Southeastern, Huntington & Westfall will round out the bottom. Westfall and Huntington also both hiring new HCs! Should be an interesting year!

Not sure how the JV teams finished but I have to believe that ZT will be the preseason favorite, PV/Unioto next, then Piketon. For playoff purposes I think there is a good chance that PV drops to D7, OHSAA hasn't done a count in 2 years and I'm pretty sure that PV's enrollment has declined.

Yeah I'd say that's pretty accurate but I think I'd probably have to put Adena ahead of Piketon given the number of players Piketon has to replace. Similar to Adena last year where they had to replace so many but they were young and should have a leg up on Piketon going into next year. So ZT, Unioto/PV flip a coin, Adena, Piketon, Huntington, Southeastern, and Westfall. Southeastern did have a pretty talented JH team couple years ago and those guys would've been freshman this season so maybe Southeastern starts working it's way up the line but for now I'll go with this as my best guess heading into the 2022 season.

I think your pretty spot on. Except maybe curve your opinion on Southeastern as working their way up. They have horrible numbers, head coach has struggled, and no excitement right now about their football team. Did hear their little Panthers made the Super Bowl.

Yeah the Southeastern job was going to be tough for whoever took it over after Ruby graduated. Really surprised at how far it fell though, I did see that JR high group couple years ago and they had 35 or so players on the 7th and 8th grade team which is really good. 8th graders were pretty talented but will they all stick with it, will they all stay at Southeastern that's stuff that's hard to predict. I'm actually pretty surprised they haven't tried to alter their style of offensive play from the previous coach though.
