My kids at school were talking about it… Wolfe Co. (Ky.) in 2019 was all they found.

Wonder how a madpolecat will do coaching without a head coach holding his hand. Just worry about the team up north.

Might want to look into why he hasn’t been coaching. Concerning legal issues.

I’m all confused with what is being said

He coached in Europe?

His head coaching experience was at a school without football? And in the other thread someone made it seem like he hadn’t coached in 2 years?

I also noticed that the job was open until noon on a Friday and then The next Wednesday they hired the coach. That doesn’t seem like a long enough time frame for a committee to check the references and backgrounds of the people who applied, have interviews and make a selection

I’ve found some evidence of the Wolfe County school taking steps to have a varsity team soon. According to an article from kentuckyprepgridion.com in February of last year, they’ve been playing JV only since 2018 with plans for their first varsity season to be in 2022. Also a Wymt article from July of last year mentioning the same. Which of course means that this guy was probably the JV coach there for the 2019 season. I don’t know about the rest of his resume though.

Doesn't matter, there's a reason they had to bring in a coach without true experience. This job has nothing positive going for it and it was going to be very hard to fill.

Regardless, when you have 3 applicants from the school (1 teacher and 2 assistants) you hire one of them rather than someone you know nothing about.

Wow, three people from the community applied and they hire a guy that no one knows anything about. Something isn’t adding up

The guy should just do the right thing and resign.

Unfortunately this is true. The state of the job is really who is willing to get beat up on for a few years and try to keep the number of kids playing decent enough through that stretch.

Just going through the applicants they weren’t going to get someone with much experience any way they went. Coaching the biddy league team does not have the worth some posters here seem to think it does.

I’ve actually stated that Sites shouldn’t have gotten it. It should’ve been Sowers or Stewart.

Sounds like this guy does not have a chance from the start from reading on here! Is the community going to even give this guy a chance?

I would hope to think that the Oak Hill community would embrace this new opportunity? But it seems this book is judged by its cover. for those parents and players this a new opportunity, ideas and game plan ,if you would. Change is never easy, but with change comes opportunity. Parents don't let negativity cause you to lose those Golden years of watching your son develop and play football. These are his best years for him to enjoy, make the most of it.

You apparently have no idea about coaches when you suggest these two. Stewart only coached the defensive backs as Jeffry Allen pointed in his first two years. Allen left at the end of 2020. And in 21 had the worst defensive secondary in the area. Has no clue whatsoever for any other position on defense and has no clue what even happens on offense. Sowers would probably do ok. But the kids don’t like him according to the kids. He also quit varsity baseball in the middle of the 2021 season because of the parents. Sites at least has the kids backing. Coached junior high a couple years. Helped carver with the line Carver’s first two years. And helped with the offense all 3 years. And you are right it was peewee ball. I know a few kids that played for Sites and carver both. Sites will also bring a good staff with him. We gave Carver a chance. Now let’s give Sites a chance. We do know sites can get 100% out of the kids that he coaches. for some reason the kids love him. If we are gonna wish. I’d love to see mike harden take this job
