Makes one wonder if/when the coach would step down and focus on just being the recruiter/ AD...I'm not against what they're building at all.. for real, but it makes me wonder how in the world they can't win a division 5 state championship with a roster that rivals Hoban or Pickerington, etc. with all the D1 collegiate athletes on the team.

No excuses not to win it all this year quite frankly.

Just because a particular school is the beneficiary of a number of transfers doesn't guarantee a state title......keep in mind that there are schools in your division that are getting transfers also, and perhaps more significant than yours. There are well over 100 schools in each division with the exception of D1, so it's unrealistic to think that school X gets better transfers than any other school in D5. Considering the scope of the entire state, no school can make the claim to have the best transfers.

5 or 6 collegiate D1 kids on a division 5 school roster? I can see your point at D1 or 2 maybe but I’d be surprised to learn of any other school with that many.

You still have to block and tackle. Games in November and December are won at the LOS.

Exactly. At d5 with that supposed talent they have that should tilt the field heavily in their favor. Again, no excuses for anything less than a state title.

Two things that have hurt Ironton the last few years. Turnovers and silly penalties.

Another D1 offer. A BIG ONE.

Ironton would of went deeper in playoffs if they would of ran that kid in the picture more and play him more. Should of played the freshman qb vs burg in the playoffs I thought. He started the previous 3 games. Bext year with 3 running backs 2 might be unhappy. Sorry for the rant the pictures of Keyes made me think of that playoff game.

Everything you said is so true! So my question does that fall on coaching?
