Divisions and regions to be released this Monday.

Post by Bumpy »

Anyone else anxiously awaiting the release by OHSAA. May be some surprises since the enrollment and CB numbers haven't been crunched since before the pandemic. My team (Paint Valley) will almost certainly go down to D7, only down side to that is we are on the border line for region 27 & 28. My gut feeling is they will stick us in 28 with the likes of Marion Local, St. Henry, and New Bremen. I would much rather be in 27 though and tussle with NC and Shadyside, find out Monday.

PV being a D7 seems crazy to me but numbers are numbers.

NY is on the edge between 6 and 7 at the moment. Either NY moves down or Trimble moves up to 6.

Since they changed the rule about all rules from same county having to go to same region i think it is helping some of those long drives in regions. But obviously not totally

They finally come to their senses!! Wasn’t it last year that the Ross County teams wound up in different regions? At least in D6?

They skated in being the largest D5 school. Coldwater is back to D5 also. Kirtland down to D6 and are joined by Trimble and Marion Local.

Symmes Valley is in 27 where they use to be before they were in D6. One of the weaker regions headlined by Newark Catholic and Shadyside.

Here is the OHSAA link. The data is in PDF format so you will need Adobe Acrobat to read.

What a gift for Ironton to have Kirtland and some of the MAC schools move down to D6. Maybe with all those players they've brought in they can win a championship this year with those schools out of the way. Still have Coldwater to deal with though. :o
