Yes, and this is great news. Of course much to the chagrin of the coach who quit in mid July. He told the players and parents there wouldn't be enough to have a team. I think that was wishful thinking on his part. But time to move on with a coach who has a wealth of experience in small school programs and knows how to lead and coach. Welcome coach Binegar.

He was told they have 18 players. Basketball coach told basketball players not to play football. That’s just not right. I guess it was brought up last night.

Why in the world would the basketball coach try to keep the kids from playing multiple sports ? Awfully selfish IMO….

If true sounds like the basketball coach is out of touch with what college coaches say about high school athletes playing multiple sports.

I was under the direction as a basketball coach that June was for basketball and July began football prep. Coaches are less likely to work together these days to allow that to happen it seems. You have to have a happy medium to get both to work together.

Newspaper article made the basketball coach look selfish. He would rather football die than let his kids play the sport.

School like to be able to offer their students as many sports as possible. When it comes to smaller schools and some schools have coach that are against then playing other sport can make it harder for other sports. Maybe that matter should be handled by someone else like the AD?????????????????????

Sad it is like that now with all the specilization…growing up everyone played at least 2 sports, normally 3. Little school like that needs all the best athletes to play everything
