Yeah, then just add in the punt that netted 12 yards after the return to setup the last Trojan TD

Congrats Trojans!

Encouraged by what I saw/heard in Valley. Special teams blunders hurt them tonight, but looking forward to watching the new system progress! Go Indians!

Congratulations Trojans on the win. What a shootout, I'd like to see the Passing yardage in this game.

Valley literally fumbled that one away, just to many turnovers portsmouth was setup with 3 short field tds in the 2nd half. Valley should be encouraged by what they saw but going to have to clean up some stuff for sure.

For sure. Wont help the sting tonight…but very encouraging. Facilities are beautiful…things are looking up in Lucasville!

Didn’t hear what Valley had. Portsmouth had 286 I believe that's what the radio said.

Portsmouth defense picked up where they left off last year. Sluggish in the first half nut began forcing turnovers in the 3rd quarter and did enough to get by.

Man what a game! Valley will be fun to watch going forward. Portsmouth is a hard team to play week one with all of that speed. As for the game not sure why #7 for valley didn’t get any handoffs in the 2nd and third quarters Portsmouth had no answer for the valley run game in the first quarter. As far as their defense they never really adjusted to what Portsmouth was doing. With the way they kept throwing deep maybe going to a second deep safety might have helped. The valley players just couldn’t keep up one on one on the outside. But overall I was impressed and think valley will win Make some noise in the playoffs where they will be playing teams closer to their size.

Portsmouth defense was bad , missing way to many tackles and the pass defense was worse , need to work on those things, and way to many stupid penalties, but a win is a win.

Valley didn't have an answer for latimore , Duncan passed for 286 yards and I'm betting close to 200 was latimore , add on some nice return yards he definitely had a big game.

Couple other pleasant surprise was Nolan highland receiver had some nice catches and Noah Livingston with 18 tackle and wnxt hit of the game.

Valley QB and Cole buckle? Had Nice games

Fun game overall. First half was kind of slow but the second half really picked up. Valley will be tough for almost every opponent on their schedule. Buckle is a very hard runner, ran over 2 kids on 1 play to score. The big line of Valley wore down as the game went on, going both ways will do that to you. Pleasantly surprised by how well the Portsmouth offensive line was tonight. I don’t think Duncan was sacked any? He got the ball out fast but he had time to throw. Portsmouth WR’s all played well. Nolan Heiland is a huge addition to the team. Valley turned the ball over a lot, but Portsmouth made them do it. Special teams was also really good. Nice opening win for the Trojans. Good luck to Valley the rest of the season.

Thanks for the stats. I left early but I thought the team's were pretty even on yards. I guess PHS won the turnover battle and return yards big. PHS did a good job on their returns and showed the Indians need to tighten their kick coverage up. Both teams will get back at it and improve.
