Ashland (KY) 7 - 49 Wheelersburg 2022

I think the Pirates bring home another victory. Can’t wait to see the new turf at Putnam Stadium.

Burg still needs to clear up the qb position. Honestly Rucker throws a better ball and has a much quicker release. Jones is bigger and probably a little faster.. personally I would go with Rucker.

Ashland is hardest place to win at.
Burg needs to be perfect cause the refs over there love their home cooking.
Good luck Burg get that win.

Russell was supposed to be bad and look what happened. I thought Russell played a solid game Q B and receivers looked good. Backs ran hard.

Watched the film of Ashland vs GW. And also watched GW vs Cabell Midland. Ashland has seen a much more prolific offense than Burg has. ( GW) Factor that in and it being in Ashland maybe a lil closer than some expect.

Ashland has good athletes. They are weak up front where it counts.

Should be a running clock, thought the same thing against Russell though.

Often times, mediocre teams give their best effort against a perceived goliath. Fairland gave Ironton all they wanted the 1st half. The competition makes Ironton better.

Not many burg teams digress as the season progresses.

Win or lose the ultimate goal is to get better, as a team. Ironton and Burg will be ready come week 11 but more importantly week 12. Jmo

Wheelersburg should win by 2 or 3 scores, but Kentucky officials have a way of keeping things close.

Burg’s Freshman QB is they guy going forward, but I think they will continue to ease him in and I look for him to take over mid season if he’s ready. He is the only chance to have a balance offense and make a run come playoff time. Kid has a ton of pressure on him.

They aren’t hand picked. They are assigned by an assigner for the state. I will say this though. Most are just bad. Go on you tube and watch the Raceland Rowan game. Had to be at least 30 flags thrown. Most of them on Raceland at home.
