Wheelersburg 12 - 20 Jackson 2022

Post by yabbadabbadoo »

Big week 5 matchup for both teams. Lot of computer points on the board for this one. Burg coming off a blowout win against Ashland, KY. Jackson getting a tough win against undefeated Western Brown. Last years game went to overtime after Burg kicker Braxton Sammons hit the crossbar on a 51 yard FG attempt as time expired. Jackson went on for the win.

Burg needs to control the clock with ball control and keep Jackson’s high powered offense off the field. Would like to see Burg come out in a full house backfield with Glover, Lattimore and Warren back there. Keep Jackson guessing who’s going to get the ball.

Good luck Pirates! Big statement game for you!

Jackson had a lot of success on some well executed runs…Burg will focus on stopping those. Jackson defense will be prepped as well. Defense has been very good. Jackson ran 33 of 36 plays in the 2nd half….but one of those 3 were huge! (Actually all 3 could’ve been deep TDs)….so Jackson mixed it up when most needed and perfectly. They can run and they can throw….but still fumbled 7x, lost 2.

At Burg is another electric environment and a tough tough tough place to win. Burg is clicking but Jackson has that very high ceiling.

What a schedule.

Hoping for an injury free game for both teams.

Burgs bread and butter is the run game but they have to be effective passing the ball or Jackson will load the box and not honor it. If burg can complete a few passes, I think they can score on Jackson. Burg will have to play their best defensive game as well.

Game of the week, Jackson has played a much tougher schedule and will be well equipped to stop burgs run game. Jackson by 2 scores

I love both teams. They rep seo well. From what I've been able see on line Id say Jackson by a score.

Jackson's qb will be the difference.

Burg's kicking game could be a game changer

darn if i know but i hope it is shown live on the web.

Having seen both, I’d have a hard time seeing most teams hold Jackson under 21-28 points. Can Wheelersburg get there against against Jackson? I’d say yes, but it won’t be easy. Jackson seems to have a tendency to shoot themselves in the foot.

I’ll go Jackson 28 Wheelersburg 17, but if it’s a truly close game I’d like the other side.

How is burgs schedule worse then Jackson's? Tougher maybe, but MUCH tougher? Ehh. Looks to me that burg has played 2 really good teams and Jackson played 3, maybe 2 as well

Jackson by +10. Doesn't matter where this one is played, Jackson has more talent. Turn them loose don't get into a slow grind pace of game and they will get the W.

Jackson just needs to take this year week by week and keep cleaning up the turnovers and penalties. I know a lot of people wrote them off after the first 3 weeks and they are really buying into the under dog role. One game at a time

Should be another good game but I think the last 3 weeks have prepared Jackson for this game just like the WB game. I like jackson by 14

You’ve obviously never seen a game at Wheelersburg or Ironton if you think home field doesn’t matter. But I agree , most wrote Jackson off. I think they may shock some people Friday.

If Jackson can get a head by 2 plus scores early I like them to take it. But if they play around and keep it close, gotta go with Burg. Jackson makes way too many mistakes down the stretch and Burg gets better when the pressure gets turned on.

Glad this one is home. Burg doesn’t seem to fair well up at the apple barn. Hopefully the crowd shows up for the pirates.
