Interesting didn't realize they were paying schools 10K to play in it

I was told by a good ironton source that a lot of schools have already been calling to schedule in a game next year. At first I was skeptical but it far exceeded what I thought it would be. Vendors, great crowds every game, option to watch on tv. I hope it become a yearly event and successful

I have a very good source who said that’s inaccurate. Half that at best.

I honestly don’t know. But was surprised at the amount, asked a source that is reliable, and was told it wasn’t $10,000.

I'd say your source is right, when I read it I was in disbelief. 5 other teams and Ironton had 50K to shell out and still was profitable, I don't believe so. I mean let's just look at it from an economic standpoint as so many teams were unwilling to give up a home game if a school was offered 10K to play in this I'm guessing Ironton would have a waiting list of schools wanting in.

I'd say the 10k is accurate. Looks to be a huge and ongoing event. What a huge thing for that area especially when other nearby programs talk about their "superior coaching" and about "transfers" but do little to move the needle in the region.

The Ironton program makes em the little sisters yet again off the field. Lol

Hopefully none of the programs whining about "transfers" get a plate at this table.

Moeller was said to be wanting to comeback they are impressed with Ironton and the way they was treated here the past two years
Would love for them to get Martinsburg from WV to play next year.
Also they are really wanting to make it a 2 day event for more exposure.
Hope it continues to grow can be nothing but great for the school and area.

Miami Central beat IMG and didnt even whine or cry about being a public school vs a private or about recruiting. Seo could never. 😭😭

Fort Frye would be cool to add. They are always really good. Not sure how they travel though.
